When this restaurant first opened in our small town, I was so excited. The food was great and the service excellent. Since then, both their food and service has deteriorated to the point that my entire family refuses to eat there ever again. My last visit to this restaurant was on the evening of 01/28/2011. They were not busy at all, but it still took almost an hour to get our food. The steak and chicken were both dried out almost to the point of being inedible. The brocolli was under cooked and cold. Since our dining out options are limited in Tappahannock, we have given this restaurant the benefit of the doubt over and over again. I am very sad to say that I will never again patronize this or any other Applebee's.

It is unfortunate that Applebee's is unable to provide nutrional information regarding their menu. I guess it's back to TGIFriday's, who by the way provide excellent online nutritional informatiom. This fact leads me to GUESS that Applebee's should have the same capablity but choices not to offer.

Also removing the Orange Glazed Salmon from the menu was a HUGE mistake. Is it not possible to offer both choices, Orange Glazed and Herb Garlic since they are at opposite ends of the spctrum???? I guess I'm back to TGIFridays, who by the way provide excellent online nutrional information. This makes me guess that Applebee's should have the same capability.

After sitting in the waiting area for about 20-25 minutes and everyone being seated before us since they were waiting on a high chair for our daughter, we were finally seated. I was fine with the wait to be seated.

My problem was that we sat there for about 20 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged, much less asked for our drink order, so we finally got up and left. I figured if it took this long to even acknowledge us that it would probably take just as long to get our order filled, and since I had a hungry child with me, I wasn't willing to wait any longer.

Other than this incident, I have always had good service at this Applebee's location.

Also, this is not the first time that I have noticed that the aisles are very small to walk through. There was a large party of about 10-12 seated nearby, and the aisle was extremely small to walk through to and from our table. I was carrying my 1-year old daughter and worried that I would accidentally hit somebody in the head with the diaper bag. I know this has to be a fire hazard not to have a certain amount of space in the aisles.
