my husband and I rarely go out to eat because of our financial difficulties, but he wanted to take me somewhere nice to eat so we chose your business.We had to wait so long for service and when she came to take our order she was rude and made us feel like we were wasting her time.I think as a customer we should have been treated better.We spent $50.00 that evening and was treated like crap.If you cannot compensate us with a gift card to come back another time, then send me who I need to complain to higher then you.I'm sorry it has come to this but I only wanted to have a good time at your resteraunt.

Typically, I enjoy spending the evening at Applebees. The food is usually good, and the prices reasonable. Tonight, however, I must say I am strongly disappointed in the quality of service by one employee in particular at the Hackensack, NJ restaurant. The heavy-set bartender seemed quite ornery to begin with. I assumed she'd had a long day and proceeded to be polite with her.

The night went south from there. Being from Ohio, I had an out-of-state driver license. This bartender woman took one look at my ID and told me "if this is fake, I will have to confiscate it and call the police". Keep in mind, I am thirty-two years old, and I certainly don't look like a teenage kid with a fake ID. I told her she was welcome to call the authorities and double check, but she continued being rude, saying that the holograms looked off. This woman was not being polite at all; if she was really that put-off by my license, she could've double checked with another waitress.

Finally, I asked the woman to scan the ID, and of course information popped up.
While I understand there are rules bartenders must abide by, I did not appreciate being treated like a juvenile delinquent.

Applebees, please get rid of this woman.

I have had numerous complaints with AppleBees. Well, I cannot sincerely say numerous. I have only been there 3 times.

Letme explain my situation. The first time I went, it was good.

The second time, it was for my brothers birthday. The waitress, however, took 1 look at us, and quickly used an arrogant tone, staring at my mother (whom is white) and us (my brother and me, whom are tanned) and making a head movement as to say "no." We get our drinks after half an hour, and she slams them down, and their was a strange material floating within it. We suspected it was spit. Gross. Later when we finally recieved our food, 1 hour after we arrived, it we ate, and promptly complained to the manager. Our biggest problem- with the black couple next to us, she was cheerful and laughing. When we asked for desert, she got VERY mad and then asked as if she didn't care. We complained, and got her fired.

The third time happened just last week. We moved from the area of the last AppleBees, and we were hoping this one was different. It was. And that's why we're never going there again.

Our Waiter had a Nike Arm Protector, to cover up his tattoo's. This really didn't affect us. He was helpful and happy. And my mom got her food. My dad, me, and my brother, on the other hand, did not. After 30 minutes, we recieved our food and my mom asked for hers again, since it was cold. We asked it not to be microwaved. He came back holding it with a towel. She went to the bottom and it was cold. They put it in the microwave and put cheese on top. We had not sipped fromour drinks or eaten any of the food. We spoke to the manager, and then promptly complained. Also, our food had been spit in. Pieces of lugee were found.

AppleBees has tried to play us for fools. We did not follow. We are very avid eaters. We eat out all the time. Now, for 6 years, we have only eaten at AppleBees 3 times. Where we were before it was great. Then we moved and got horrible service for the last 2 years.

AppleBees lost out on a lot of money.

AppleBees, please get better chefs and waiters. Thank you.

Cold fries, cold everything, undercooked meat, horrible taste, no sauce on burgers. Gross, gross, gross. never again!!!

Went to Applebee's on Valentine's day 2009; and the evening started out well. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated and the server was prompt in coming to our table. My husband and I ordered an appetizer which was also delivered promptly so all was going rather well up to receiving our entrees...which was steak. My husband's came cooked nicely as ordered, medium. Mine on the other hand was "bleeding" when I cut into it besides the fact that it looked like it had been sitting on the plate for quite a while. I called our server to the table and she took the steak back to be "replated and cooked". By the time it was returned to our table my husband was more than 1/2 done with his food, (I'd told him go ahead and eat so his food wouldn't get cold) and I cut into this steak to find it was BLOODY just like the last one!!! By this time I was sick at my stomach, mostly due to aggravation, and ready to get out of this pitiful excuse for a restaurant. I told her I didn't want to return my food for a third "round" of cooking, just forget it!! She came back later and asked if we wanted to order dessert!!! LOL After being told "no not if it was like their steaks", we got our check, paid, and left. They took the steak off the bill, but added back the two sides I didn't eat. I sent a complaint to their feedback email address but don't expect to get a reply. Oh, yes, just an added FYI, the manager never once came to our table as is usual in most restaurants. Needless to say we won't be going there again and more than likely won't go to another Applebees.
