Poor service
I came in to place a "TO GO" order, was asked to go to the BAR to place order. Waited 15 minutes to get order placed. Told them I would be right back to pick up the order. Upon returning was greeted at the door by the waitress that seen me come in and she said, oh you are the one waiting on your order. Then another waitress came by and said if she could help and I told her I was waiting on a to go order. Then a waiter came by and asked if I needed some help, and told the same. Then another waitress came by and the same scenario.
I waited for an hour and a half from placing the order, until finally the waitress at the bar, as she seemed to be more occupied with getting alcohol to the people at the bar and getting tips then anything else. Then she finally came all the way to the front and asked if I needed my order, well " der".
I will tell you that I know how hard it is to get good people, but this was ridiculous, all these workers asking and no one helping. Wow what a disappointment. Applebees" - you just lost this customer and all the folks that ask me about your company will be told - Well you know what I will tell them!

Poor waiting
I travel the west coast frequently and eat at lots of applebees along the way. I recently visited Chehalis Washington and went to applebees. the first time i was there they refused to serve me some artichoke dip, unless i bought the appetizer for 13.00. Have they ever heard of side orders... the second time was today and they took our order, brought us our drinks and about five refills, and 40 minutes later still no food. Finally i asked the waitress where our food was, after all i ordered salad and you dont have to cook salad, she left and didn't come back. After an hour and a half of waiting we got our food a salad and a COLD hamburger, Oh and did i mention a 50 dollar Bill. THey never even said sorry of offered a complimentary meal, i like applebees but wont go there again very poor service.

Dehumanization of staff
I have worked for applebees in Merritt Island. Our store was one of the highest grossing stores in central florida. Recently, Creative Restaurant Concepts bought out our franchise. Before they did, we had a productive, happy staff, and got along well with management. Most of our customers are local and we stay busy even on a strip with lots of competition. Then came the dehumanization... and lies... and inconsistency... and firings... and threats... and employee walkouts. Even our customers notice the huge drop in morale. The other restaurant employees in the area who work at places like TGIFridays, Chilis, Carrabbas, Outback, Olive Garden and Red Lobster...all corporate restaurants... have blackballed our restaurant as a place to seek employment because of what their friends who work at our Applebees have told them about the new Gestapo... er owners. Our managers have gotten beaten up mentally and verbally by new ownership daily. We all lost any accrued vacation pay, all took a paycut... in my case about $1500 a year, managers 5-10K, bartenders about $2500 a year and are treated like children and robots by management... who is being treated the same by their new bosses... trickle down effect. We took a schedule from the first week with the new company, and crossed off names of coworkers as they were fired, quit, or just gave up and walked out. The list is roughly half of what it was just 2 months ago. Out of almost 70 people, we have lost over 30. The big bosses have come into our store and verbally assaulted many of my coworkers and managers and seemed to think thats how you run a business. I have never worked with such a small minded and micromanaged (that is another 10 paragraphs that I wont type about) company in my life. As the business dies, and training costs rise, I am sure the new owners will just yell at someone and point fingers about how horrible the management at our store is doing their jobs, instead of looking at themselves as the problem.

Bad service
Let me tell you, We went to Applebees for lunch after church yesterday, we were seated, fifteen minutes later (HE) came to take our drink order, so forth. After we placed our order, a hour past and still no food, we just asked for our check which we paid, only for drinks and appetizers, and let it on the table. When we were already getting in the car the waiter that was slacking came up to us by the car in the parking lot and said we forgot a dime in the bill!! A DIME people... 10 cents!!! Can you believe want nerve this kid had!!! I told him are you serious, and he was.
So I haded him the dumb dime, I should of thrown it at him. But I have respect, unlike this business. So min later I call the manager to file a complaint, he said he was sorry, ect... I really hope this guy gets FIRED!!! Tks for letting me file this complaint.

Service
After church on 20 July 2008, my wife and I stopped at Applebees on the way home as we usually do and went inside where there were about five people ahead of us all in one family. The servers were all over the place and I began to think we were invisable. One of the servers picked up about 5 menus and silverware for 5 and took off. He didn't tell the people to follow me or anything else. We stayed about 5 more minutes and said to heck with that and went up the street to OCharles where we were promtly seated and food on the table in just a few minutes. We have gone to Applebees many time but not more. I do not like being treated that way by anyone.

unprofessional employee relationship
Hello I am an ex employee of the apple bees on power and ray. I wanted to post some info of two employees who are not doing there job per apple bees hand book. These employees have been having an affair together for 2-3 months. One is a manager named Patrick and the other is a bartender named Leighann. They have worked on the same shift in the past and have showed there interest in each other on the job. This is totally unprofessional and should not be allowed! I think the higher ups of apple bees should know about these two who are dating and not abiding to the applebees rules. I hope someone will address these issues as soon as possible.

poor service, theft
I ate at applebees and the service was poor, food was poor and I felt rushed to eat and vacate the table. I paid with my bank card and to my surprise and complete anger --APPLEBEES OVERCHARGED MY CARD. When I took my precious time and energy--not to mention my gas money---to drive back there and speak to the manager; he acted like an idiot and down played the whole thing as if it was a great joke that Applebees stole from me. What poor customer service. There are too many other really good places to eat with great customer service !!

Bad good and service!
Brunch on a given Sunday at Noon thirty; scenario...ordered bloody mary, took 25 minutes and asking waitress 3x to receive which was awful. I think the vodka had water in it. Then ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad, took 25 more minutes to receive, and the chicken was PINK. Awful. Another at my table ordered a beer, took 20 minutes. Due to starvation, I ate off someone else's fries and drank the water, such an awful experience; and I am a chef in the culinary world in Texas. I expected more from the Cajuns but this was a sin!

No Service
We went to Applebees in Columbus, GA. by the mall on February 24,2008. We arrived at 11:00am the male host told us that they were not open yet it would be a minute. When ask what time the open he said 11:00am. By 11:10am the table that sat down after us had there drinks. The host was if our table had a server, which he respond that the manager was making out the list now. At 11:15am we still had no server and the table that sat down after us was ordering their food. At this time we left and went to Ruby Tuesday with perfect service. The staff was waiting and prepared for work and not in preparation for work as Applebees

Late food, uncaring managers!
After a fifty minute wait I had to go find a manager, she would not come when our waiter informed her we had a problem... She was on the phone. At that time I ask her is she could help us get our food. She gave some low answer and headed off for the back.After another 15 min. We got food which was wrong, no portabla mushrooms, my sisters fish was cold, It was a very unpleasant experience and we will just go back to panera bread for our every friday outing. This was our second try at applebee and they still need some management training.
