Horrible company
We bought a used, "refurbished" stainless steel refridgerator from Appliances Unlimited in Glens Falls, NY in March 2010. Right away the freezer never worked. It got cold, but not cold enough to freeze everything (from the time we plugged it in). We called and called over the course of several weeks and played phone tag with the owner for days. He would never return calls and when we finally got ahold of him, he said he would send a repair person. They never showed up and he never called us back. Finally we just gave up. We chalked it up to a learning experience and (our fault) did not pursue the issue anymore. We should have (in retrospect) brought the thing back to them, but life got in the way. Live and learn I guess. Fast forward to November. The whole time we have been using a freezer in our garage and only using the fridge in our kitchen. Now the fridge wont get any colder than 54 degrees. After calling and leaving a message (with no call in return), we physically loaded the fridge up in our truck and brought it back to the store wanting to just get rid of the thing and maybe get some of our money back. The owner was not there when my husband dropped it off. My husband specifically told the people there we did not want the fridge back. I called today (one day later) and the owner claims the fridge and freezer are working perfectly and he cant find anything wrong. He was so rude on the phone and hung up on me! He accused us of just "not liking" the fridge and said I was being rude to him when I was trying to explain the situation. He claims to have no memory of our conversations in March and when I told him that I loved the fridge but just didnt want to worry about it dying with a baby on the way, he hung up on me! I had even said to him that for the money, we were very pleased with the fridge and were sad to see it not working (this was after he claimed we just didnt like the fridge). Long story short, we have learned a lesson and will never, ever shop there again and we will inform everyone we can of their terrible customer service.
