noncompliance with senate bill 1351
As an independent fee appraiser in Arizona, I have been battling with AppraiserLoft (based out of CA) over payment for two appraisals I completed for them over 4 months ago. According to senate bill 1351, each appraisal managment company shall make payment to an independent appraiser for the completion of an appraisal or valuation assignment withing 45 days after the date on which the independent appraiser transmits the completed apprsial. This has been the worst Appraisal Management company I have ever done work for and will no longer accept any work from them. Not only do they NOT pay, they try to get appraisers to do work for half of what our fees should be. No one should accept work from this company! You will spend months trying to collect your fees...not worth it! Our job is hard enough without the additional irritation of an unprofessional scheme!!!

They dont pay their vendors
After reading the above complaints I have come to the conclusion AppraiserLoft is a dishonest, self-serving company that doesnt deserve to be in business. Maybe the reason they arent paying their appraisers is because they are having financial trouble, or maybe they just dont give a crap about the people that do all the work for them. They owe my company over $1300 in fees. Ive been calling/emailing them for weeks now with no decency of a return call. One of the jobs we did for them was back in June of 2010...still waiting for the check for that one. Im filing complaints against them with anyone that will listen. Im going to let their lenders know, by directing them to this complaint board, that AppraiserLoft doesnt pay their appraisers. I too will be starting collections as well. I hope someday soon Im asked to do REO appraisals on the houses owned by the people that run the company! Thats justice.
