Environment.
To place a fair comment, the place looks nice, but other than that it's a very expensive place and people attitude is really bad here. let me explain you my complete story.
First I have so many bugs in the studio, I sprayed several insecticide on the carpet so many times and bugs still coming to my studio, so I called the lease office, but they just can't fix it, I'm still having bugs now.
Lease office people attitude.
They are nice all the time and responsive, but only up to the point when the renter or tenant is able to provide them profits. I used to talk to them and they try to response me as soon as they can and they smile to me, but when they get to know I'm leaving the studio because of the payment rose unreasonably for the next contract, they just stop smiling to me and they try to respond my question as the last priority of their job and I just asked a simple question if I'm able to get back my deposit, that took 10 mis to answer me because they were busy and before they know that I was leaving 2 months later, doesn't matter how busy they are, they just stop everything to answer my questions, so that means that my contract expire in 2 months, this 2 months I would get the worse services as possible, I don't see they smile to me anymore.
Crime.
Well, the whole orange county seems to be crime free, at least major crimes like stealing, robbery and house breaking don't exist here, but in Archstone Tustin happened to get my mail packaged stolen, I can't believe there are criminal people here and this place is gated, really bad neighborhood and the neighbor is noisy all the time.
Payment rise.
We are in a bad economy and we are not getting a rise of salary in our job but this company archstone manage to rise the rental payment for this year and next year as well, my payment in the contract was $950 for last year, but now this year will be $1180, $230 more, if they raise my payment to $1000 or $1050, would still be acceptable, but $230 more per month and the floor plant for new tenant over the internet is still saying $950, so they are just raising the payment for the loyalty of old tenant.
Pre-inspection day and final inspection day.
The inspector in the Pre-Inspection day came to my studio and said everything was ok and normal and shouldn't be any extra charge for that. Then the final inspection day the inspector came to my studio with a list of things that need to be fixed. One of the thing in the list was re-paint the walls in the studio then I asked the inspector to check out the list and the walls again then he said the walls no need to be repainted and remove that from the list. But if I haven't asked him to check the list I would had been charged $200 for the walls. They are very dishonest.
Academic dishonest.
I set up an auto-pay to archstone, they should be able to take my money from my bank. then now I just moved out then they said, since I'm moving out they can't take any money from my bank and the rest of the payment I have pay it manually from me, since they never told me that, they gonna charge me $500 for overdue of payment plus utilities and they threaten me saying if I don't pay it they will file that in my credit score.
