To whom it may concern,
I rented a car through Argus Car Rental Ireland, which I picked up in Ciampino Airport, Italy on October 8, 2010. During our journey in Italy a new tyre had to be purchased for the car which cost me 180 Euro. On returning the car to Avis at Ciampino Airport I reported the incident and produced my receipt and was told to contact Argus on my return to Ireland as it was nothing to do with Avis. This I did and I was told that the extra insurance I had applied for when renting the car did not go through due to a fault on the Argus website. They could see that I ticked the "extra insurance" box but did not know what had happened and were not willing to pay. Where do I stand on this?
