I had been visiting west Phoenix a few weeks ago with some friends and decided we should go golf because the weather was perfect. My friends had never played Arizona Tradions but it was close and reasonbly priced. Upon arriving their and this was during the week we were greeted well not really the tall older blonde haired guy named Jerry was very disinterested and in fact acted like we were bothering him by wanting to get a bucket and play golf. He was very rude and disingenuous and I was surprised because it's a golf course and the jobs not that hard.
We than went outside to pick up our range balls and their was no one to pick up our balls but they were sitting out so we grabbed them and were headed over to the range as if our inside experience wasn't bad enough we were than verbally attacked about where's your tickets for those balls by another cranky older man named Dave. This was by far the worst golf experience I and my friends have ever experienced in our lives and were all in our 50's and have been golfing for 35 years. I would not reccomend this golf course to anyone because the staff is OLD, BITTER, and don't know the first thing about customer service or how to make a golf experience enjoyable. Why would any course with this economy right now and especially being in such a service industry hire old, cranky employees like Jerry and Dave when golf is a luxury and not a neccessity. I guess thats why golf courses are closing down all over and I wouldn't be surprised if this course in on the fast track to that as well. In closing I hope this gets out to anyone and everyone thinking of playing Arizona Traditions in Surprise.
