Charged us $169 for replacing a windshield
Transaction to our checking account: We pay with a First Tennessee Visa check card... 11/22/2005 Pos Debit 1117ARMADA VANS RE NAS 244036953220 $300.00 This is what they credited us back with... 12/08/2005 Credit 1205ARMADA VANS RE NAS 744036953400 $41.33 11/22/2005... We rented a van for one day from Armada. We decline getting insurance since we had insurance on our car. Armada charged us a $300 deposit. An Armada representative took us to the van and did a work around inspection. She point out the large dents on the rear door, two spots on the roof and the tape on the left hand side of the windshield. There were other marks, scratches and dents on the van, which she said not to worry about. The next day when we returned the van with a full tank of gas. A different representative can out to inspect the van. After a walk around the van, she went directly to the upper right hand corner of the windshield and started rubbing a spot. Then she went inside and reported that there was a chip in the windshield. This chip was less than 1mm diameter. We told them we were extremely careful with the van and we did not do that. That during the original inspection by their representative, she ignored all small marks and scratches on the van. We refused to sign any more documents... Yesterday 12.13.2005, I called Mitch Brezlic the Armada claims rep about the status of the claim and left a vmail. My husband later got a call from Mitch Brezlic 678.679.0942 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 678.679.0942 end_of_the_skype_highlighting ext 236. He said that they replaced the windshield and charged us $169. This is outrageous!!! Even if a professional fix the chip, it would not cost $169. This is a ripoff!
