Armed Forces Insurance Reviews

We will be buying insurance elsewhere, even if we do pay more
We just got notice today that Armed Forces Insurance is raising our automobile premiums by $235 a year. When we called about it, they think it's completely fair since my husband filed a Chapter 13 after his retirement income was not enough to cover our bills. In 20 years, neither of the insured, myself or my husband, has had an accident or moving violation. We have kept our insurance current. So not only are we old, (66 years, both of us), my husband is retired military, retired federal employee and have an excellent driving record with no claims, and are now on a severely fixed income, this is what we have to deal with. Have these people have no conscience? They say they have only begun to do this--to use credit rating in their computation of premiums. We will be buying insurance elsewhere, even if we do pay more.

Avoid them
Armed Forces Insurance had a 146k replacement value policy on my 106k mortgage. When I experienced a fire ad made a claim, their adjuster and mine both had it at 106+, just a few hundred $ apart with mine being lower. What did I get, 71k. Not the State of TX Insurance folks or lawyers have been able to help.
So here is a 1st Amendment hit on them. I hope you will tell all your military friends to avoid this unethical but apparently legal bunch of scum.
