We called Around the Clock Locksmith because myself and my room mate locked ourselves out by accident. He showed up, asked for my license, and than gave us an initial estimate of $395 for a "house unlocking" fee. He tried to pick the lock for 20 minutes and couldn't get in because the lock was so rusted out so he had to replace the knob/lock. He went back to this van, asked for my receipt back that he gave initially gave me, and than printed off a new invoice with a new amount of $525.27! He added on fees for the knob, installing the knob, and for drilling so it jumped from $395 to $525.27! After he finished we asked if he accepted credit cards or checks and the proceeded to tell us he only accepts CASH. My room mate and I looked at each other like he was crazy because because we do not carry cash on us period. He than said that he would follow up to an ATM so we could withdrawl $ for him. We withdrew the money but he didn't have change so he than followed us to the neighboring gas station and we than paid him exact change. Buyer BEWARE, this guy is a Scam artist!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT CALL HIM!!! He will take advantage of the situation and come off as an official locksmith but he is nothing but a scam artist who over charges for his services. He will drain your wallet!
