customer service
I bought a king size mattress from Ashley. Before delivery i measured staircase in my home & was concerned that it wouldn't fit, i promptly contacted the store regarding this concern advising them i was willing to exchange for queen to not compromise the king.i was assured it would be fine.
On delivery, it was folded completely in half for it to fit, bending the frame.a problem.i gave it some time but there was a hump in the middle of bed & the sides caving in.iwas also waking w. terrible back pain.i called Ashley re.damaged mattress & i'd prefer to switch to a queen as i orignally wanted to.-told technician must come & ck first.waited almost 4 wks for a tech.-claimed he clearly saw the hump, it was evident mattress frame was comprimised on delivery & would indicate so in the report that would be ready in a wk(which was a holiday, no report was done)
Spoke to diane, customer serv over 7-10 days-told it was being processed & an exchange would occur, store in farmingdale knew.went to the store, told they were waiting for an email from customer serv. i call the rest of the wk, told being worked on. 7/19 3 calls to contact them, on hold 10 minutes or more each time. finally get through on 7/20 & am told that nothing is wrong w.mattress & there will be no exchange.only thing they could do was send another tech.
i dont know how the store, customer serv, & the tech were all agreed the mattrees IS damaged & that an exchnge the clear resolution & it changed in 1 day. I don't want to suffer w. mattress anymore, its not right i have to lose a day at work, wait another month for a tech from the same comp. to lie & say they see the problem but report otherwise. left a msg w. k&b quality (the tech company)-no return call. spoke w. diane -told that this is all that rob from the ashley in farmingdale is willing to do.
I just want a full exchange from the king mattress for a queen mattress of the same price. they were paid i should get a quality undamaged product.
and i was going to get my living room furniture here. not any more.

home damaged by delivery
I received delivery of a sofa. When the delivery guys left, I noticed two long grooves in my hardwood -- which was just installed two weeks ago. I immediately called customer service and she was reluctant to help stating that I signed the form that all was well, adn the delivery guys said they didn't slide the sofa on the floor. What else would they say?!! I let her know that their brochure states that any damage to good or my home can be reported within 3 days. After speaking with "upper management" he was on the side of the drivers. So I guess that my floors got grooves themselves.
Secondly, the furniture is sprayed when manufactured, yet, they want to charge $100 for scotch guard protection. That is just a money grab.
I had other purchases pending but will not be going through with them. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE -- POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Scam and lies
Since day one we have had problems with our couch. It came in with the sewing coming undone. The first month we had springs popping off the back of one of the recliners, sewing coming undone on the couch and multiple places. Cushions getting flat and becoming bunched up. The backing or stuffing was falling out of all the backs of the seats. Our ottoman drawer was broken and the casters keep breaking. They tried to fix it by screwing screws in the casters but failed. Also in some spots instead of sewing the material they stapled it. It would be like holding 2 pieces of cloth in mid air and stapling them. There is no backing for the staples to go into. We have a bar under the sleeper mattress that is bent and the mattress itself has been used maybe a month total and has holes in it from the springs. They have lied saying our dogs have taken a crap on our couch. They said my wife said our dogs pooped on our couch and I was standing right there. It was a lie. That never happened. Our dogs are potty trained. I did lose my cool with customer service because of this. Then Big Sky Upholstery (a repair company)said it was customer and dog abuse that is why our couch is falling apart. They also said when they were here doing repairs our dogs are trying to chew through the door to get out. Also a lie. Mattress
I purchased a Simmons BeautyRest Mattress (Norcorss) from Ashley Furniture Tyler TX and about 3 months it had a sink hole in it. I have now gotten another one just like it and it has already done the same thing sink hole. Ashley Furniture now has refused to warranty my mattress and will not deliver a new one . This store has the most rude and smart mouth people that I have ever dealt with. This store should be closed down due to poor and no customer service. The owner that holds the license is go to be the stupist person on the face of the earth. Her sister and nephew run the store with no respect to any customer service. Do not shop at Tyler Ashley Furniture store sales and service is void. I hope all that read this ad never buys one piece of junk furniture there. Warranty lady and you known who you are, are the most disrepectful person and the biggest lier I have ever seen. I feel sorry for anyone that has to work at this store and deal with the people that try if that is what you call it run this store. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone how this store does business and how they do not stand behind their products. If I were Simmons Beautyrest Mattress Co I would pull all license of sales for this mattress from that store due to warranty issue. I will never Buy another Simmons Beautyrest Mattress anyway due to this issue.DO Not Shop Ashley FURNITURE TYLER TX

Poor Quality, Safety Concerns, NO customer service
I purchased a loft bunk bed set (Qunitessentials B190, beds, loft desk, loft bookcase, and loft chest) in August. In the store, we were told the bookcase/chest and desk were interchangeable, and could be swapped right/left. We were unable to try out the ladder, as it is blocked off with a banner in the store display (other bunk sets' ladders in the store are not blocked off). On delivery, we found that the bookcase/chest and desk were NOT interchangeable, making the set a bad fit for our room. In addition, the ladder is very difficult to climb becuase the rungs are metal tubes-- extremely hard on the children's feet without shoes! I called and was told there was nothing Ashley could/would do about it. Later I realized the side rail on the bed is too low for a standard twin mattress, making the top bunk unsafe! (we are using the same twin mattress from a previous set on bunk beds-- it was fine with the other bunk bed/rail, and no one at Ashley pointed out that the display bed set has a very thin non-standard mattress!) In addition, the bottom bunk is on casters, so that you can move it to make the bed (it is not displayed with casters in the store) but when the bed moves, it creates an entrapment hazard-- my son has woken up with his head between the desk and the bed frame! Last week we found that the bed was no longer shifting because all 4 casters had shattered beneath the weight of the bed!! This bed set is of very poor quality and completely unsafe for children!! When I called the Customer First Center, the call center staff seemed very understanding of my concerns, but said the final decision was up to the regional manager, Glen. He has offered only to replace the original casters on the bed. He said he is not at all interested in my concerns about safety or the poor quality of the bed-- it is sold as displayed in the store (which is not true-- casters, blocked-off ladder, thin mattress), and they only address defects. In the paperwork I recieved, it says "Ahsley Furniture HomeStore stands behind our products and will address any concerns you may have with your purchase." That would include not only defects, but also customer satisfaction-- I've paid for a bedroom set my son cannot safely or comfortably use!
Bottom line, very poor quality/functionality, and they have a "you've bought it, it's your problem now" policy! I got the runaround for a week, now it's just the brush off!
Their prices look too good to be true-- and they ARE-- but it's not free-- there's a cost, always a cost! In this case, my kids' safety! Don't do business with this store, and if you've been burned, report them to the BBB and to your state's dept of consumer affairs, or attorney general's office, and the local news!! In this economy, they should be out of business-- not ripping people off!

Damageg furniture delivered
I bought a reclining leather loveseat and sofa set from Ashley Furniture Homestore in North Brunswick, NJ.
Of which Reclining Loveseat had some stitching issues which their Technician wasn't able to fix it so they replaced it but the replacement which they shipped was even in worst shape than the original one.
It's having same stitching problem but on both cusions and much more visible and looks like its tearing off at that spot.
They again sent their technician to fix it but again he said that can't be fixed and needs to be replaced.
Now they are saying that it's manufacturing standard and they won't replace it but if this was the case why did they replace it first time because first one was in much better shape.
Moreover this one had two cuts on on cusion and other on armrest which their technician said can patch up but I paid that much amount for a new furniture not some old with repair patches.
