Delivered furniture that resembled a scratch and dent sale
I purchased a couch, recliner, end tables and a coffee table on 3/20/11, paid cash, with delivery set for 4/21/11. Needless to say, I finally got my furniture on 5/6/11.
The couch was a sectional and the salesman told me it would come in 2 pieces. I questioned why they were trying to carry it up my steps in one piece. The delivery guy said he was in a hurry. Minutes later, they were trying to position my couch against a wall to cover up the tear they made in the back of the couch. The couch came with massaging units and one side did not work at all. There are scrapes and scratches on the end tables and the drawer in the coffee table was off set and tilted. The furniture was not boxed or wrapped making one wonder where it came from.
I called and they said they would send someone to inspect. I have made over a dozen calls and no one has shown yet. I just want what I purchased-NEW furniture! I will never shop there again!!

Bad service
We went to Ashley furniture Saturday evening. We walked in and all the salespeople are standing there talking to each other. One sales person was helping another family. Not one person said anything to us. We walked around for 30 minutes, not one person said anything to us yet they all stared at us. We walked past the area where all the sales people where standing one sales woman actually pushed us out of the way to get by us and yet still said nothing. Another sales man was on the computer and as we walked by he's personal cell phone rang and he walked the other way to answer it. I would never shop here it my life depended on it. DON'T SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE FOR ANYTHING!!! We then walked right next door to Sofa Select and did our shopping there.

Consumer Nightmare
My husband purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture . I had no idea which couch he selected (I was not with him) so when they came to deliver it he was at work, I took the couch in only to find out that when he came home from work that it was NOT the couch he selected. He then went on to tell me that he watched the sales lady write down the item number so he was not sure how the error was made. I immediately called the store only to be told that I had to call the corporate office because the couch had been delivered already, so I called the corporate office who in turn told me I had to call the store. After being pitted against the store & coporate office someone finally contacted us from the corporate office. However we had to wait several days to find out how they were going to resolve the isssue, because the manager of the store was off of work. They resolved the issue by telling us that we could keep the couch until the one my husband really ordered was delivered, the only problem was that they expected it back in excellent condition, & we have 2 small children (we didnt want that burden). We insisted they pick it up because we were not trying to be stuck with it, and then we were without a couch for almost ONE MONTH. I then contacted the corporate office & told them that any company that we had ever come accross, if they had wronged us they offered some form of compensation, I said to the lady in the corporate office "your company never did that" Get this, the lady from the corporate office told me "Our company does not offer compansation, if the customer feels they want it for whatever reason, the customer has to ask for it themselves" I then said I feel that if a company has wronged a customer the company should offer it, the customer should not have to ask. She told me again that I would have to ask, so I told her that at this pooint I was asking for some form of compensation. She told me she had to ask the manager of the corporate office & she would call me back. She called me back only to tell me that the manager would not be offering us any compensation. Do not buy from this company they do not value you, and only offer empty apologizes.

4/11/11 I ORDERED A MARION ROUND TABLE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE BUT DID NOT RECEIVED A ORDER CONFIRMATION E MAIL. YOU WITHDRAW THE MONEY BUT LEFT ME WONDERING ABOUY THE ORDER.

TRS (The Rental Store) Fraudulent Misrepresentation
I'm going to keep this short and sweet...
I went to Ashley Furniture to purchase a living room set. They had 0% financing for 12 months (So they say). I was there for many hours and saw people after people get declined. The Sales Rep said well we do have "in-store financing", so I decided to go that route(Big Mistake). I got approved for the "in-store financing". Now it's been 7 months and I have paid 250.00 a month plus I paid 500.00 down payment for my furniture that cost a total of 1600.00. I called TRS and asked for my balance and they told me it was 1500.00, I was floored. I then pulled out my contract and saw that all though my monthly payment was 245.00 for the 1st 5 months my charges by TRS was 108.91 after that they charge you double. So to sum it up my 1600.00 furniture will cost me a grant total of 3200.00 (Double The Price)
This company and Ashley furniture represented themselves as a finance company when in actuality they are a rental company.
THEY ARE FRAUDULANT AND FOR THIS REASON ASHLEY FURNITURE HAS LOST ME AND MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS A CUSTOMER.
I WORN YOU NOT NOT TO USE THEM AS WELL.

Higly stinks
HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER BUYING FURNITURE HERE EVER!!! We bought furniture (full dining room set and master bedroom set) in 2008 from Ashley in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Estimated delivery time "3 weeks"...actual delivery time..."2 months". So like an idiot I ordered a 6 piece living room set from Ashley in Fredericsburg, VA on April 5, 2011 (today is the April 14th, 2011). Estimated delivery date at time of sale: April 25, 2011. Received a call yesterday stating that the new "estimated" delivery date is May 27, 2011. They also claim that they are only waiting on the loveseat...but they state that they can not deliver the other pieces until they have it all. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND EITHER. So much for having living room furniture any time soon. This company stinks!!!

Terrible Customer Service
I wish I had read all the reviews before ordering our couch from the Morehead City, NC Ashley Furniture Store. Customer service was terrible--lie, lie, lie! First they said the couch had been in the warehouse a week because they did not have correct phone numbers to deliver. Suprise, I had the carbon copy with correct home and cell numbers. Second lie was that they would haul away the old couch. Instead of being up front they lied to make a sale. We are seniors so unlike our younger days we had to have the piece delivered. OK not only did we have to pay $150.00 for delivery, but they taxed the delivery fee. So bottom line---buyer beware!!! Only plus is, so far, we like the coach. Oh and the customer service rep promised we would get a call from the store manager. At least the call might have prevented me from writing this review.

Sales misrepresentation
Not Happy!!!We bought a couch a week ago. Wanted to possibly get the chair that goes with it, but needed to go home and measure the space. Was told by the sales person that we could get the chair for the sale price. Went back a few days later(soonest we could)and they would not honor the sales price any more. Will never shop Ashley furniture again and will tell all my friends and family not to shop there ever, also.

Terribly run business
i ordered a king size Ashley furniture bedroom suite in March 2011 from payless furniture in greensboro NC(driving by spur of the moment kind of thing). my fiance and I found one we really liked and it seemed like a good deal (checked with Ashley direct store and it was a little better price), paid $1, 068.51(half the price) up front. Im told it may take up to 3 weeks for it to come in. I call back after over 4 weeks pass and I have not heard anything about my furniture and get an attitude from the salesman that sold me the furniture and told me up to 3 weeks for the timeline. Then he told me they had the order coming in on May 5th(that puts it over 5 weeks) but he doubts that it even comes in then. i get a call the next day from the store manager who tells me he is sorry for the attitude i recieved the day before from the salesman and for the delay in the furniture. then he tells me he called to check on the delivery date and he tells me they have it coming in on May 20th(thats over 2 months waiting time). They say it is Ashley furniture's fault and give me a number to call, but I cant ever get anyone to answer or return messages. This is absolutly rediculous, how can no one tell me where my furniture is or when my furniture will come in .

Send them a bill for storage
These imbeciles had sent me an incomplete entertainment system. It is completely useless in my home and they have gven me the run around. I have since been billing them for $40 per day as storage fees. The sales rep told me that they dont stock anything as it is very expensive to warehouse items--they're right. Small claims will allow for storage fees. These people need to be taught a lesson when it comes to customer "service". The Greenwood INDIANA store will find this out shortly as to what can and will be done to them in a courtroom. ALWAYS complain to all boards, the BBB, and your state's attorney general. Also contact the Federal Trade Commission, they dont like poor business practices very much and they have the authority to fine them severely. Just wear them out with the free legal help that is offered, it is very costly for them to defend. Furniture delivered that doesnt have the correct parts isnt furniture, theyre using you for storage of their inventory, CHARGE THEM FOR IT!
