We purchased 2 sofas from Furniture World in Vancouver and after a month and a half the more expensive one's cushions started sagging badly! We called them up so we could get them to do something. After another month and many calls they sent a furniture repair company out. The guy said the foam had "failed" . I asked him how that could be true if we had only had it a month and a half. He said it was bad when it was made. I relayed this to Scott, Furniture World manager. He said he would replace the padding in the one cushion but I told him we would rather have the sofa replaced due to it being defective brand new when it was delivered to us. He said he would check with Ashley. I checked with them too and got an incredible run-around! Ashley themselves pretty much told us too bad. They had no intentions of backing their own product even though it was defective on delivery. Ashley is one of the biggest furniture companies and to listen to their advertising a company that is very proud of their furniture. Very misleading!! I paid $1200 for this sofa! This big company delivers me a defective piece of brand new furniture, labeled defective by the repair company they chose, and they refuse to do anything about it! If I would have learned about Ashleys customer service prior to my purchases I wouldn't have purchased it. I hope I save some of you having to deal with a mcrooked company like this. Anyway Furniture World finally agreed to take the sofa back for a %25 restocking fee! That's $350 out of my pocket for them to take a defective sofa back. If this hadn't happened to me I wouldn't believe it! We have since checked Furniture World out for other complaints and it turns out there are enough complaints of people getting screwed by them. I hope this saves some of you other hardworking people out there from this crooked company.
