manager/salesman
I met with a manager in the torrington, ct office-at least I think he was the manager-he seemed more like a salesman. He seemed only concerned with how much money I had and not my care for my teeth. He told me I could pay on a monthly payment plan-but didn't tell me that meant a credit card. He ran my credit and went ahead and charged everything that the dentist wanted me to do at once-even though it was going to take me over a year to finish all of that work. When I told him afterwards that I didn't want to get all my work done at that office and wanted my refund--he said that would take up to a month! Beware of this company and specifically this man! They don't care about you-just getting your money.

dentures
Had my teeth pulled on top. Aspen dental made me a temporary denture and it didn't fit right put a soft liner 3 times to build the one side up. I was told I would have to wait 6 months for my permanent dentures and I did . Went back every other day for a week. They were sent out to be made they came back worst then the first set. they offered to made them again, but the experience with the two sets had me so worked up I didn't want to go through that again. I asked for my money back the price was $1599 I was told the temporary in my mouth would have to come back too. I told them deduct for them. There telling me that the temporaries are $460 and the permanent ones are only $280, I was to get the top of the line dentures as my permanent ones. How can the temporary ones be more than the permanent ones. There not giving my insurance company all there money there deducting for the temporaries.There giving me a refund of only $280 and that will be sent to the dental loan company which I have paid off in full .The loan was for $744.65, and then the loan company will pay me. I fill that that there Ripping me off. It just doesn't make sense.

DR SHINGALA
This dentist first couldnt do the blue bit. It took five trys and then his asst had to do it. I was scared because this man was pulling all my teeth. Well I had right to be because he went in and just broke off the teeth he couldnt get out. Well they sent me home and I had to come back and he said oh there is a sharp piece breaks that off send me back home said it will heal. Well I am in pain and really dont want to go back but I have to and I was in luck he was on vac and this other dentist had to go in and open the botton gums and remove what he had left. She said I will have to charge you $500.00 for this. It would be more if she did the top were I am still having problems. This dentist doesnt care he is there for the money. oh I go back and he hears all what went on and said are you still mad at me. Keep my mouth shut but you can image what I really wanted to say. So I again I try to tell him that I have some tooth left in the top. I dont fell anything he said and had his asst to do the fitting. Well these dentures have sanding alot and he comes in and says what is taking so long is there a problem I need you in the next room. Well I new right then that was it he needs to be reported.
All I can say is stay away from this dentist.

FRAUD
I purchased the top of the line dentures. They told me my insurance would pay for most of my bill. THEY LIED!!!BEWARE. It cost me nearly six thousand dollars. They billed insurance companies I didn't even have. They tell you in the begining that they talked to your insurance and your insurance will pay. My insurance company never spoke to them. I was getting rejection letters from insurance companies I didn't have. When you call, " The office manager is in a meeting, " The office manager is on lunch" The office manager has left for the day" . This went on for 3 days. Then I was told to call the main office of Aspen Dental.
Then the bills start coming, Why???? this should be paid!!!. I called the main office, Told them they billled the wrong Insurance, I was told they rebilled the correct insurance, and not to pay the bill. They finally billed my correct insurance, my insurance paid less than a thousand. They quickly billed me the ballance, and the price was now higher than what they quoted.
But of course the quoted price was only an estimate. WARNING!!!:. STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN DENTAL . Oh by the way, this is a very compressed version, Over 200 phone calls, Countless hours, Sleepless nights, "LESSON LEARNED" " DO NOT TRUST!!!

Horrible Dentist
I took my six year old son into Aspen for a cleaning and routine check-up. As he was getting his cleaning, one of his LOOSE baby teeth fell out. Dr. Chadha entered the room in a horrible manner; rushing around, not even introducing himself...making me feel like we were a waste of his time. VERY unprofessional since he was getting MY money. My son was very cooperative and for a dentist to be so unwelcoming made him very uncomfortable and he never wanted to see a dentist again. Thanks Dr. Chadha for your horrible manner in treating us like dirt. Oh, but that is not all. They charged me, out of pocket since we have no insurance, over $100 for an extraction that wasn't even done!!! His baby tooth fell out!! It's all a scam...He has no chairside manner and all he wants is your money!!!

Ripped off
I visited Aspen Dental shortly after being relocated for work. During my first visit I was told that a deep scaling was needed to be performed in order to replace the porcelain. I agreed and had to come up with $1200 for the entire procedure. I went through the deep scaling and went back to start the porcelain work when I was told that I needed another $800 for the crown. At this point my bank acc't was depleted and I could not afford it. When I asked about the $1200 I paid, I was told that they needed to inject more antibiotics than they originally thought and I had to pay for it. So now I still have a chipped tooth with no money to pay for it. Thanks a lot Aspen Dental. You did NOT help my smile at all.

insurance rip off and shoddy work
i had ten teeth extracted and temporary denture made in april.i have two dental insurance policy's i was told i had to pay seven hundred and thirty dollar's as my total co pay.i still have the temp teeth which are terrible.now i am told i have to pay another eleven hundred and twenty dollar's.because the insurance company did not pay as much as they said they would aspen told me they have that right.no where on my statement does the seven hundred and thirty dollar's show up that i already paid them.i told them i don't want them to make me the permanent teeth because their work is lousy.they have been paid twenty five hundred dollar's for the permanent dentures by my insurace itold them keep the money i don't want them making my teeth and we will call it even.they said i still have to pay the eleven hundred plus the seven hundred thirty dollar's i already gave them out of my pocket.i am on a pension and cannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn't afford this.i will take the loss and go to a real dentist and pay out of pocket to get some decent teeth made so i can eat again if anyone has a class action suit please let me know or if intrested in starting i will join this is a bad business please don't go there

Manager Cindy
When I went to their office as a new patient in january 2008 they did a set of x rays and billed my insurance for those . now I go in for my next cleaning this time with pain in my left side, teeth and jaw difficulty chewing now they tell me I need a panorex x ray which my insurance will not cover because they had already done the the regular x ray series because in january I had no concern and the insuraance will only pay for 1 set every three years they should have given me the option then before me having to have to pay for this x ray out of pocket. THEN IHAVE TO SEE AN ORAL SURGEON BECAUSE MY LEFT SIDE WISDOM TOOTH IS LIKE A ROCK IMPACTING MY SINUS CAVITY I AM ON ANTIBIOTICT AND PAIN MEDS AND THEY DID NOT EXPLAIN TO ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COVERAGE AND THE CONSULTATION AND SERVICES WHICH WERE COVERED BY MY INSURANCE THE MANAGER AT THIS OFFICE CINDY IS VERY RUDE i WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT BECAUSE i THOUGHT MY INSURANCE DID NOT COVER THESE SERVICES SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCOMODATE ME SO I HAD TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER ASPEN DENTAL CLINIC MILES AWAY WHEN THIS ONE IS 2 BLOCKS AWAY AND THE APPOINTMENT IS IN MID SEPTEMPER BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY PROVIDERS FOR ORAL SURGEONS WHO TAKE MY INSURANCE .

Billing
In Feb 08, I went to Aspen Dental for dentures, I paid my share of what they said was owed, and the rest they would bill the insurance for. In March of 08, my husband went to Aspen Dental for dentures, he filled out his paperwork and paid his share of the bill that was owed, and they said they would bill his insurance for the rest. I kept receiving bills every month from Aspen Dental for the amount that they said the insurance would cover, so I called them up and asked why. They said that they were waiting on the insurance to settle the bill, and that we would receive a bill til they did. When May came and I received a bill from them, and my husband insurance already settled the oral surgeon's bill just weeks after his surgery, I called and asked what the hold up was. They sent my bill to my husband's insurance instead of mine, they never sent his in. So I called and asked them to send the bills in, but they never did. In July, I received a LATE NOTICE from Aspen Dental. I called my insurance and had asked if they had received a claim from Aspen, and they had not. I called Aspen and they said they sent it in in June and were waiting for it to be processed. I got really upset over the lie that I just told, and told them if they did not send the bills to the insurance company asap, I would report them to the better business bureau. They hung up on me, so I contacted the BBB. Needless to say, the claim was submitted to my insurance company that day, and I'm still waiting on my husband's bill to be submitted, which is under my name. They also sent a letter to the BBB saying that they billed the wrong insurance back in Feb, and wasn't notified until April about it. Then they waited to June to send it to my insurance, but my insurance wanted copies of my x-rays before they would pay. They said they submitted my x-rays to them, but I didn't have any x-rays done when I went to Aspen, so who's x-rays did they send. After talking to my insurance, they said that they never received a claim in June, and had never asked for xrays from Aspen. I have had it with the lies that I have been told over and over by Aspen Dental, I would not ever use them again. If you can't be honest about your mistakes, then you don't get my business.

Scam and cheating
Services received were 3 regular extractions, 1 surgical extraction, 1 deep cleaning. Received no temporary and no permanents, paid up front through care credit for, 3200.00 dollars, they made temporary and they were missing teeth didn't line up or fit. Had o remake them, still have got poor quality and missing teeth, remade them, went for fitting still didn't fit and a lot of missing teeth, went for wax try in and was promised my permanents, still was done wrong, I have been without teeth for more than a month, I am devastated. I canceled on the temporary and permanents and the refund was agreed upon, they only refunded 1100.00 dollars, I want the rest of my refund returned to care credit immediately, the charge should be for the 4 extractions and deep cleaning only.
