My name is Richard Alexander Preisig Jr. I write briefly to comment about the items posted about me by those lacking the integrity to write under their real names. It is, of course, easy to accuse anonymously.
I graduated SUNY Binghamton (now Binghamton University) in 1993. My first two jobs after college were with “boiler room” stock brokerage firms. I wrongfully participated in improper tactics at those firms. I make no excuses. I do regret hurting people. So I did what I believed to be the right thing - I took responsibility for my actions by pleading guilty, accepting a bar from the securities industry, and paying into a fund to help the investors I harmed.
My history is no secret. It is, however, truly history (the acts I took responsibility for occurred more than eleven years ago.) Ironically, and quite pitifully, the posters here lack the maturity to embrace honesty and instead hide behind fictional identities and resort to fictive distortions of reality. For example, there is no David Nugent, Karma or Veronica Grieco. (Karma and Veronica are the pseudonyms of the girlfriends of stockbrokers who committed crimes but were unwilling to take responsibility for their actions hence, were incarcerated for several years.)
While I have a less-than-noble history, I am committed to a hard-work ethic for the future, for my wife, my hoped-for family and me. While I understand the jealousy of those who (a) do not believe in redemption and (b) have been unable to accept their wrongs and move on with their lives, it does not justify the vitriolic drivel on display on this board.
