This company says that they will help you build you custom home. They don't tell you is that your stuck with them if you don't like them. We designed our home with them and as the plans were drawn we started to realize them we were doing all the work. One of the owner’s sons does the drawings but he is not an architect and we went thru a lot of round to get the plans right. We got to the point where we just has to hand draw everything and double check that he did it right. They did not pay attention to the details and we decided we did not want to work with them. We paid them for the design of the plans and started to look for other general contractors to work with. The contract amounts were around $10, 000 to do the plans. We get this bill in the mail for over $50, 000 for what they say was work done. We were getting billed for them putting hours each day even if they did not do anything. So be careful on the contract you sign with them, they read them any way they want and hope that you will be scared by their lawyer not to fight.

The owner Lou has a real bad temper and will only be nice to you if he is making money from you. I learn this the hard way and also from subcontractor that use to work for them. A lot of them give up and don’t want to deal with the pain and suffering working with them. I also talked to some people that have used them and they did all the work of call the subs to schedule things and ACC only came on site 4 or 5 time over the life of the job. I even heard that Lou has yelled at owners who want to do some of the work themselves and took too long. The way them work is that you pay the when things get done and if you are too slow then they don’t get their money. Also they get kick back from the sub they use. I happy that we did not continue working with them from all I have heard. I go by the home shows in Seattle and have heard the same thing from some of the contractor there too. So watch out when you work with this company.
