My AT & T Internet DSL Services
On 6/24/2011 I have severe thunderstorms over my house in Ormond Beach, FL 32174 between 6:00PM and 7:30PM. As result of this weather the connectivity of my Internet DSL Services through my desktop computer was not working. But on my wife’s laptop the Internet was working fine wireless.
On 6/25/2011 around 7:00AM I call 1-888-321-2375 to report my problem and to get technical support. Your representative made an appointment (ID #11264177) for Sunday (6/26/2011) between 8:00AM and 11:00AM.
For my surprise on 6/25/2011 around 5:30PM I got a telephone call from your AT & T contractor (Michael – His cell phone is 386-237-7758). Michael offered to come to my house in few minutes, his offer was immediately accepted. He arrived at 6:00PM and he told me that the problem was on my desktop computer Ethernet Card that was not working!!!
Michael did not check the router (2Wire Gateway 2701 HG – B) located in my kitchen at the first floor of my townhouse. By the way this router was installed in my kitchen by the same contractor months ago. But my desktop computer is located in my office located at the second floor of my house.
Michael spent less the 20 minutes in my house. He did not solve my Internet problem, condemned my Ethernet card and left. Then I called my computer technician to replace the Ethernet card by Michael’s recommendation. My technician came on 6/26/2011 (Sunday) at 12:20PM and immediately found out that the problem was not on my Ethernet card.
On 6/26/2011 around 1:00PM I called 1-888-321-2375 for technical support. My called was answered by Daisy (Request Reference ID # 1-2254888303). During more than one hour Daisy request my technician to check and to make several changes and test to solve my Internet problem. Finally the telephone call fell and Daisy did not call back my home telephone either my technician’s cell.
Because your poor support service delivered by telephone and through your AT & T contractor (Michael) I spent last Sunday $250.00 (labor and part). Now my desktop computer is receiving Internet through wireless-N USB adapter (Linksys AE1000).
I hope AT & T Internet DSL Services has a professional explanation to give me your customer since 1989.
