over charging
Trying to reduce my bill, I asked to bundle my land line phone, internet & wirless phone. They said they could reduce my costs from a totsl of $16o/month to $135. The next two bills were $190. After calling and spending an hour and listening to triple talk for
1 hour they found the problem and said that I did own this amount but it would be corrected the following month. The next month bill was $377. I called and was submitted to an hour of rediculas explanation of double/triple speak of why the bill was this high. The customer service rep.was unable to answer any questions but contantly repeated numbers that made no sense to me or a CPM (I was recording), but I was responsible for the bill reguardless. I am afraid of next bill. Besides cancelling my service where can one turn?

Overbilling
Dear Complaint Board,
I just updated my phone service and add service to my Internet service. I updated my AT&T phone service (account # 7368) from regular AT&T service to AT&T U-verse Voice Unlimited.
Plus AT&T U-verse U-family High Speed Internet Pro.
The new combined Billing Telephone Number (BTN) is #110-372-7184.
This morning (Aug 21, 09), I received my new bill (BTN 7184) in the amount of $247.64.
Later in the same day (Aug 21, 09) I received another bill (account # 7368) an additional billing in the amount of $12.48.
I think it is a double billing.
Although these billings are under protest, I still am making payments on these 2 bills.
Your immediate attention to my problem is appreciated.

BILLING
ON JULY 16, 2008, I SWITCHED TO TIME WARNER CABLE SERVICES. ON THAT EXACT DAY I TALKED TO SOMEONE FROM AT&T THAT I WAS DISCONNECTING THE SERVICES AND GOT A CONFIRMATION NUMBER. THIS WAS ON JULY 16TH.
PROBLEM: I LATER RECEIVED A BILL FROM AT &T FOR THE AMOUNT OF 182.78. I WENT AHEAD AND PAID IT THINKING IT WAS LEFT OVER FROM BEFORE.
WELL, I RECEIVED ANOTHER BILL FOR 141.37 FROM AT & T. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I AM GETTING BILLED WHEN I NO LONGER HAVE SERVICES WITH THEM. MY PHONE NUMBERS WERE CHANGE ALSO ON THE 16TH. THE NUMBERS WERE (830)303-3464 AND (830)303-5449 . WHO WAS RECIVING THE SERVICE FOR THOSE MONTHS THAT I WAS CONNECTED TO TIME WARNER, IT WASN'T ME. AT & T BILLED ME FOR SERVICES NOT PROVIDED, HOW CAN THEY GET READINGS FROM TWO PHONES NUMBERS THAT WERE DISCONNECTED. I HSVE TRIED TO REASON WITH THEM, WITH ANYBODY THAT ANSWERS INCLUDING THE DISCONNECT PEOPLE. THEY WERE ALL RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS TELLING ME THAT I DO HAVE TO PAY THIS BILL SINCE THEY ARE PREOVIDING SERVICES. TO WHOM? I HAVE BEEN GETTING PHONE SERVICES AND INTERNET SERVICES THROUGH AOL SINCE JULY 16, 2008. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I NEED TO GET REIMBURSE FOR THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF $182.78 THAT I PAID LAST MONTH. I AM NOT PAYING THIS LAST AMOUNT. WHY ARE THEY SO RUDE AND EVERYTIME I TRIED TO EXPALIN, THEY WOULD TELL ME I HAD TO PAY IT BUT THAT I NEVER DISCONNECTED FROM THEM. I DID, BUT HOW CAN THEY CHATGE A PERSON THAT IS NOT USING THEIR SERVICES? SOMEONE ELSE HAS HAD THE TWO OLD NUMBERS I HSD AND I PAID FOR IT. PLEASE HELP ME.
I CAN'T AFFORD TO BE PAYING A T&T. I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING A CELL PHONE THROUGH ATT, NOT ANYMORE.
