AT&T DSL worst Service and Product
Iam with ATT wireless from past 4 Yrs and no complaint, but with that in mind i signed up for DSL internet service and bought hell to myself.
Already the shipment arrived Late, then the setup suppose to be 30 min job and mine did not sync up.Called customer service and everytime they ask for a call back number and never once till today they called me to ask the update.
I literally struggled for 12 days and lost hope.Everytime i call the Service Disconnect agent, she connects me to technical support and believe me AT&T dont have even a single Technical expertise (Iam also a Telecom engineer), they are just worse than anything, they dont know more than whats written in their Guide document to help us. just disconnected.Only i wasted my 7-8 Hrs of phone call and Stress myslef.
Please dont go for this service...Never ever!

Inconsistent speeds/Poor Performance
I have AT&T DSL Elite. Almost every evening the download speed drops to rediculously low levels. Elite is supposed to provide up to 6MBps but it regularly drops to around 1.5MBps and frequently to below 1MBps. I have had AT&T out twice and they claimed they corrected the problem somewhere in their system; but it just keeps coming back. Before I had AT&T DSL Elite I had AT&T DSL Pro and when I changed over and paid the extra money I learned several months later that they never changed the connection, even though they showed it on my phone bill. Never offered me a refund either when they finally changed it over. Maybe before AT&T adds any new "fastest in the USA wireless service" they can pay some attention to their existing DSL customers and fix their system so that it does not drop to such unacceptable levels.

Their only competition in this area is the cable TV company. Too bad nobody else provides DSL here in the Central California Coastal area.

I am at the point where I am about to monitor the speed continuously and start paying my bill proportional to the speeds AT&T provide.

AT&T Worst Internet Provider!!!
I could write a book on all the problems we have had with AT&T internet service for the past two years. We regret the day we switched from Comcast Cable. The service intermittently goes off constantly, being off more than it is on. Customer service does not know what they are doing. We have requested time and time again that someone come out and look at the lines. Finally someone came last week, left with it working, and five hours later, again no service. Hubby and I said "that's it!". We called Comcast and ordered service with them. No long wait, nor all the options, to get a person on the phone. We would never advise anyone to use AT&T. Unbelievable that a company this size has such poor service!

Their internet is a joke
I thinking again to switch to Comcast Cable. AT&T for sure don't have hi speed Internet. That's just a joke.

I am not satisfied with the service i am getting from ATT
I am not satisfied with the service i am getting from ATT. I continue to have connectivity issues. Repair techs seem to visit my house 3 times a year for the same issue. I was told by techs that the box on the pole needs to be replaced because it rusted out.

But nothing has occurred and with every rainstorm, my signal is lost. Techs come out and replace the "pair" in my outside box with no results. Now I have other people's voices and static in my phone, even though I have a dedicated DSL jack.

I am tired of calling ATT because it takes days for them to come out and the same problem re occurs. I need to talk to someone in authority to have the box on the pole replaced. I would have switched long ago, but it would cause a big inconvenience with my business.

High bill even after equpment is retured and service is cancelled
Hi,
I have ordered the DSL Internet Service and after 1 Week i got the connection but the Wireless router is not supporting the Wireless Adapter of my Laptop so i called the Tech support they told it may not support all the adapters and advised they can send some one to fix it but he is going to charge me which i don't like and returned all the equipment and canceled the service, so as per the rule and procedure i am not supposed to be billed for the equipment as i returned in less then month and the defect is there in there device but i got bill after i returned when i called customer service they confirmed that they received equipment and the bill we be adjusted and final bill be sent.But today i got another mail stating that if i don't pay by 03/12/08 they will handle the case to collection agency.This is ridiculous and totally insane so i am wonder what to do next.

Service Disconnection
I am Customer of ATT since July 2008. The main reason to select ATT Internet services because in my community there is no other Internet Service provider and only ATT services are availble. In these three months of service I have got three Account Numbers 9Don't know why ) and above all my services was disconnected three times by ATT ( Don't know why) . But Third time I came to know it was because of their Orders Department came to know that their billing address was missing my APT # in their records, just for this small reason my Internet service got disconnected and now I will be given new account number and as per policy new service will be established after 7-10 business working days. Other than this I have never received my bills for usage and I have asked them to send me bills for usage and they said there are some system errors on their side so it will take some time to receive bills. I can expect a huge bill amount in one bill but don'tt know when. And this time my Internet service has got disconnected. I ma more frestrated now because I am Senior Working Professional currently working from home and this gap of 10 days would cost me more than my job, but who cares, ATT- No way. Atleast I was expecting that ATT will inform me in advance that why they are disconnectig my services just because of not having APT # my billing address in their records. They disconnected the services without my knowledge and Intention. The horrible thing is I have Order receipt and ATT Confirmation Letter where they have mentioned my Activation Details and that have my APT # mentioned. So its really very funny that when ATT Technical Dept, ATT Sales Dept have my detail address but this Ordr and Billing department doesn't have my Details address. In my Community I am bound to get only ATT services so I have get this worst service anyhow as I can't afford individual satellite to have Inetrnet Services and this Big Companies get advantage of Customer problems. I would never ever recommend ATT services to anybody. You better get hold of some other providers or atleast go to area where you have option to choose other one.
