AT&T tried to make me pay for a collecting call that I had never recieved
I know this happened a long time ago but I would like to tell all of you that AT&T billed my home phone a collect call that I had never recieved it was worth $11.20 with tax. I called AT&T and they said that I needed to call the company of that was billing them this collect call and so I called them and I was already bored on waiting for a rep to talk to and I got a rep after along time waiting and said that I needed to talk to AT&T about it. So this company was kept on telling me to talk to AT&T and AT&T to talk to them and plus the time that I would spend on the phone to solve my issue until I finally talked to AT&T and they said that they would credit my account and I would just have a balance of $7.56 but it would be deleted by the next month. Well the next month came and I saw the charge of $7.56 and thats when I called AT&T and told them about it now they said that I needed to pay that the rep was like probably someone accepted the collect call in your house I was like "no''. Well he told me that I had to pay those $7.56 I was like sir we have not recieved any collect calls keep on calling you guys for over the last 3 months because of this and you guys keep saying call the other company and the other company says call AT&T I was like "You know what you guys are taking advantage of me by making me pay more that what I should be paying. Because I have been having AT&T for over 17 years and we haven't had a problem with our service so you either remove this charge or I will disconnect the service. And so he said ok I will remove the charge so that both of us can be happy so you won't see this charge anymore in your next bill. And I didn't. And the conversation lasted 33 minutes with the last AT&T rep that I talked to. I'm still with AT&T but I carefully review my monthly bills to make sure that want they are charging me is correct.
