My daughter's cell phone was stolen. AT&T wants a $250 dollar fee on top of the cost of the new phone because she still has 8 months on her contract. I have had 3 conversations with representatives on the phone and have been to the local store twice and I have gotten a different story from each person. Finally got a person on the phone who said that they would waive the fee if we signed a new 2 year agreement and paid an eighteen dollar activation fee. She said that when we went to the store to have them access her notes and that they would honor the deal. Well they didn't. The manager told me that these phones are very expensive and that they can't waive the fee because my daughter would then have to have the phone for 2 years and 8 months and they just aren't built to last that long! That's a great statement about their expensive product. When I called back about the offer the girl made I was told they don't know who she was and she was misinformed. I have a hard time believing that they don't know who she is. What ever happened to a company standing behind what their employees said. I will be switching over to Verizon as soon as possible. I have always had great customer service from them.
