AT&T Iphone Reviews

AT&T left me with not a phone but a sim card with service on it.
Brief: The store manager didn’t allow to get a phone, so I was given a sim card and out the door I went..

This is essentially what happened. 20 days ago I brought an Iphone 3G, I exchange it for a 3GS yesterday. I figure it wasn't worth the 100$ upgrade, so today I went into the store to return it. I paid a restocking fee, even though I was NEVER inform of one, on both phones. I did ask if they could waive the restocking fee because I was never told that and I been an ATT customer forever, but in the end they say no. Then they handed me a sim card, I asked if I could please upgrade to a 3G Iphone after returning both phones and paying BOTH restocking fees. The customer rep told me no and I had to go to another store if I wanted a new iphone, and there's no corporate store nearby for another 200 miles. I ask if I could get any phone, they said no go to another store.

Essentially I left the store with no phone and with a sim card...Isn’t that ironic entering a cell phone store with a phone BUT leaving a cell PHONE retailer stone with no PHONE but a sim card. I never had been treated like this in my life. It's like going to the auto dealer having the money to buy a car but the dealership say u can't have any car...I guess they just don't like me that much to get paid for selling phones.

On top of that I guess I can't even cancel my iphone data plan because I don't have a phone... So I'm being charge 30$ a month... until I get a phone. This is great : [. I never ever want to deal with this store ever again; in fact I don't even like ATT anymore. The first customer rep on the phone couldn't even cancel my iphone data plan after I explain to them the situation I was in. So until I get a new phone, I'm going to be charged with a data fee... how simply amazing is that. I push on to talk to a manager but the manager told there’s a contract agreement between ATT and APPLE saying they can’t cancel the data plan. I don’t get how that applies with me when I don’t even OWN a PHONE BUT A SIMPLE SIM CARD!

The second custom rep insists I go back into the store. The people treat me like crap the first time, they insist I go back and get treated again. I don't think the rep understand people don't change because they are force, in the back of their mind they are the same way. The rep on the phone even went as far as creating an appointment for me AT the store with the manager (The manager who essential told the rep to not allow me the upgrade) without even me saying ANYTHING about I wanting to go back to the store. This is very embarrassing; I don't even get to say I was busy. I don't like missing appointments so I sent an email to the manager saying I won't be there because I was busy on a road trip… without a phone.

All that factor aside I'm going to get an iphone online since then I don’t have to deal with the store. The only 1 reason I’m still with ATT is because they have the iphone and nothing else. In fact my friend say when I get my phone he can hack it or something so it’ll work on t-mobile. Trust me, I been ATT for nearly 5 years and been paying the high service monthly long enough, and I can honestly believe I deserve better than this.

Iphone 3gs
Recently I purchased a white 32gb 3GS Iphone at a different store and it was defective. The store where I purchased the phone told me to call up Apple Care to resolve the issue. I did and all Applecare could do is give me a refurbished phone. I do not think it's fair to purchase a new phone and use it for four hours and then end up receiving a refurbished phone. Since my phone had problems within four hours of purchasing it, I turned it off and the phone never came back. I tried to reset it and restore it. No luck. I took it back to the original store where I purchased the phone and they tried to restore it. No luck and told me it was defective.I called up this store and the manager said I could return the phone and the store would order me a new one. I went over to the store a few days later to return the phone and they wanted to charge me a restocking fee. I do not think it's right for me to pay a restocking fee for a phone that is defective. I called up ATT Customer service and they were not able to help. I am left with a defective phone and a 2 year contract for an upgrade on a phone that is worthless to me.
