Company sold my personal information!
Recently I started receiving a lot of calls from Portfolio Collection Agency! When I finally got to the bottom of it; it turns out that AT&T sold my personal information to them for a debt that had long been overlooked and not paid. The info was wrong and they are still calling me even after I disputed the issues..This is 2011 and that debt was in 1997. Surely there should be a law against it and there should be a law against companies trying to come back after thirteen years to collect an old debt long after it has already been written off. It is not right for a company to sell information on a person just for profit! Now, this Portofolio Collection will not leave me alone and have even got my cell numer. The Do Not Call thing doesn't work. I have explained to them that I have been out of work for two years now and do not have the money to pay! My credit is already ruined so what the hell does it matter. Even Portofolio's management are ruid and uncaring. If I could pay the damn debit I would but come on. It was written off long ago and their chances of collecting are about as good as me finding another job! Thanks Corporate America, once again for slapping me in the face! It was a wake up call...I won't buy or use AT&T ever again. As a matter of fact, because of the way Corporate America does, I will start buying less and doing without more just to save myself the anguish!

Customer service is non existent at best
It is a shame that AT&T can't take responsibility on why the internet does not work. They blame the customers and manage to make the customer feel that it is the customer's fault. When they to admit that it is their fault for only 170 customers being without internet service for 3 days this time.
The last time it was a week without the Internet. This is not to mention how the techs lie especially the techs in the Phillipines who barely speak English.
Customer service is non existent at best. I guess someone will have to file a complaint with the FCC. I hope this will not be an every month thing!!!

The hardest thing in the world is to get AT&T to stop sending offers by email.
I have requested and unsubscribed 32 times and I'm still getting nonsense on my work computer.
Is there not one competent person in the company who knows how to operate your website or whatever it is that allows you to continue to send me info I have not requested and that I do not want and have NO intention of using?
Very poor service and unconcerned staff who don't know what they are talking about and transfer you around the whole company is what I run into. I'm glad I no longer have your service.

They charge a lot for their service and then do not want to fix anything
Three weeks ago I began to have a lot of static on my home phone. My internet was acting up too. I called AT&T and reported the problem.
It took two phone calls to get them to come out and work on it. The next day I called and told them it was not fixed. They ran a test over the phone and called and said there was nothing wrong with the phone.
I still kept having static and the internet cutting off. I reported it again and they will not come and fix it.
They charge a lot for their service and then do not want to fix anything.

cheating and unprofessional
I was AT&T Customer since 2005 and I was happy with them until the last year that their service gone bad. They always have drop call and no signal. I called to complaint and they tried to fix it but it still be the same. Sometime it took me to dial 13 times to get to through only one call. Finally I got bored of them and moved my number to other company now AT&T make me pay for the whole month. I was with them only 6days but they want me to pay for the whole month. Why do I have to pay for the thing that I don't use. They are so greedy and unfair. They will take whatever they can so be careful.

AT&T has lied 3 times and is making me pay more
My family and I have AT&T as our phone carrier. From the beginning, the service was horrible and our phone calls were dropped or not made at all. Therefore, my family decided to cancel the contract and sign with Verizon while we had 3 months left with AT&T. But before we terminated the contract, I have called AT&T twice asking how much the termination fee would be if cancelled, once in mid- November and once in January. In November, they told me it was $60 all together. However when I called on January 25th at 12:40pm, they told it was $80 all together for a 4-member family plan and that they do not have any record of me calling at all in November or before or after about the termination fee. When we cancelled the contract, we called them to make sure again. However this time, they told me it is $70 each person. That is $280 in total. That is not what the representative had told me when I called. When I called AT&T back about this issue, they told me they have no record of me calling at all in January either. They have changed the price and lied to me three times. I talked to the supervisor but all he told me was to pay the $280. AT&T has lied to me three times and now giving me no choice but to pay the $280. I do not want to pay for the mistake of AT&T and their representatives.

Ipad Data Plan
It's impossible to cancel a data plan from AT&T when you lose your Ipad. I had my Ipad stolen last september and AT&T still bills my bank account $25 per month, even after 6 phone calls to them. They insist they cannot access my account without the phone number for the account. Problem is, the phone number was assigned and inputted into the ipad at the Apple store. Unless you have the Ipad, you cannot learn what the phone number is. (You receive no paper billings and the average consumer would never look into Ipad settings to get the phone number assigned to it.).
It even reached the point where the AT&T manager told me to just challenge the bill with my bank account/debit card company and when AT&T gets the challenge, they will cancel the account. Well, I challenged the October and November payments ($50), the bank credited the money to my account, and AT&T still billed me for December, January, and February!! Last week, this is not a lie, I was on the phone with AT&T for 2 hours! At one point they transferred me directly to Apple without telling me that is what they were doing! And that is after i told the rep on the phone that i had already been through the exercise o fbeing transferred to Apple on previous calls! AT&T has even gotten to the point where they have assigned case numbers for me, but that means nothing in terms of results or getting my money back.
Thank God, verizon is entering the iphone market.

AT&T hides its rate increases & fails to provide proper and adequate notification regarding changes
AT&T first increased charges for my domestic and international long distance plans while embedding their notification in the middle of a 8-page statement.
AT&T then applied a monthly minimum usage charge for these services without notification. AT&T then increased WirePro and Call Waiting charges on the local bill after it acquired SBC. Again without prominent notification.
When these charges were in dispute for 1 month, they slapped a $5.79 late fee for a $35.11 bill. When I called AT&T to complain, they put me on hold for more than 66 minutes (1 hour+). This practice has been systematic at AT&T.
I am sure lot of other consumers are suffering a similar fate with AT&T.

fraud internet services
I'm victim of fraud, identity theft police repoorts filled at tipton county sheriffs dept. 0806191010, 020400370, & etc...
trying to cancel fraud internet service at my residence without my knowledge in the name of Andrew Meyers fraud number # above listed fraud user name. I do not have password to access to cancel this fraud account.

This trace route hops and ends at a Dial Up server.
When I called DSL they said its a server problem and they don't handle Dial Up servers...
