Billing fraud
I had AT&T wireless service over two years. They look for anything to extend the contract. I called to cancel and requested to be cancel no later than next day. They argued that they would cancel after a month elapsed from notification to cancel. After, talking to supervisor they cancel the service that day.

They issued a statement with $27 credit and later sent a check for the $27. A couple of weeks later they add a charge for $27 and $4 additional dollars.

I complied with the contract in full. Why should I be charge for $27 that was refunded due to overpayment and later they want it back.

We ordered new A T & T cell phone service o Feb 24, 2007. We ordered MotoRazr phones at the same time.

As of today, March 13th, we have just received the cell phones which were not the Moto Razr but a Samsung phone. Cingular insists that is what we ordered. On Saturday, March 10th, it was verified by AT & T that we had ordered MotoRazr phones and they would be shipped on FedEx overnight delivery on the 12th.

We have had every excuse that AT & T plus Cingular can think of as to why our service has not started. Quote: "they made a mistake in transposing one of our cell phone numbers the order had been cancelled, the order was being investigated for fraud."

This has been a FIASCO.

I cannot many time make calls from my home due to no signal
I have been dealing with At&t on this issue for about 4 weeks now.I had a samsung impression phone.and the touch interface has gone out twice.each time I travel 26 mile to their support center.and was told by the tech this phone is know to have issues.I was at the one year make and a rep offered me an early up grade.though did not tell there was a $75 early up grade fee along with a $15 account fee.I talked to two different supervisors and got the fee waived.I was told I could go to a att core store and get the new phone for $99.I went to two different stores call customer support from my phone and gave it to the rep at att.45min later Im still standing while they are talking trying to work it out or get a override on price after I was promised.finally I asked for the phone back and simply asked not to waste anymore time and was it going to happen or not.he said no.only via att online.he said I will overnite you the phone tomorrow. well tomorrow came and went with no phone.I got the phone finally 3 days later. tried the phone was not happy and returned the phone.the supervisor said I am sorry would you like to choose another phone.I said yes.she said I will make notes on you accout and call you in a week.I will forward you case to someone higher up.true enough I got a call in a week from britney. she was a account specialist. we spoke about all the issues and I choose the new I phone.she said she would make corrections to my account in terms of being about to buy the iphone 4 for $199.I asked is there going to be any problem. she said not is just a matter of putting it in the computer.today she began by saying there is a problem she is not understanding something.my upgrade date is not until nov of 2010 and I had an upgrade override and when I sent the phone back the date was reset. I said I asked you a few days ago if there was going to be a problem you said no.I expect you to keep your word.I asked for someone higher than a supervisor and was told no one 3 levels above me could do anything to help me. I asked for her name and Id number. she pause said britney.do you have a id number. no answer. I said dont take is personal.she said I dont mean to be dissrespectful but its hard to not take this personal. I ask for a number or address to file a complaint because I was lied to and told something different by each person. as it is att service is lacking here in the phoenix market.I cannot many time make calls from my home due to no signal.emergency calls only its says.

They would deliberately lie to snag customers for an overinflated and subpart service
So agravating that the laptop connect card is far less than AT&T advertises. I think what's his name in the commercials found the internet because he traveled a million miles searching for it. The unit was misrepresented as being unlimited access( it's not) fast ( it's really not since they fail to mention that you don't live in a 3 G area.) have you ever tried to read the fine print on TV? It's miniscule for a reason. To get sucker punched when you talk to a rep. Anyway I am in a 2 year contract and am willing to pay the over one humndred dollar fee to go back to dial up. The dial up actually has periods when it's reasonably fast. The lap top connect does not. The dial up is unlimited, The connect card is not. You cannot upload or download photos on either one so why pay $40 a month more for a service that isn't worth the cost of dial up. Also I will be smart this time and NOT get a dedicated line for my dial up since they charge you all the add ons that are not needed for a dedicated line and your bill jumps to $70 a month. Just call me back if you get a busy signal Okay? I have great land line and cell phone srvice with this company and am very dissappointed that they would deliberately lie to snag customers for an overinflated and subpar service. What happened to ma bell and the service she strived to provide?

Fraudulent Telephone Charges
We discovered that AT&T has allowed PaymentOne to put FRAUDULENT CHARGES on our business phone bill. We contacted AT&T and they did not seem to care. We looked into PaymentOne and their website boasts about how they can get up to 25% additional "revenues" added on peoples bills. Translation: AT&T ALLOWS PAYMENTONE TO PUT UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON AT&T ACCOUNTS. PAYMENTONE GIVES AT&T A KICKBACK OR PERCENTAGE ACCORDING TO THE PAYMENTONE WEBSITE.

I personally beleive that AT&T knows about it and allows PaymentOne to pad the bills because AT&T makes additional revenues from it. This is based on the verbage clearly spelled out in PaymentOne website that claims that they do this for their clients.

Here is how it happened to us. We noticed that for the past 3 months, a $34.95 charge was added on our bill each month. There was no explanation for the charge. It simply said PaymentOne. We contacted PaymentOne and the woman I spoke with admitted they had a LONG HISTORY OF FRAUDULENT COMPLAINTS AND FRAUDULENT CHARGES ON AT&T BILLS. REGARDING

We found that PaymentOne (from San Jose, CA) had put fraudulent charges on our AT&T bill. The woman at PaymentOne said PaymentOne's partner company Ameritel, had billed us for some type of report. The woman at PaymentOne said they have a tremendous amount of Fraud going through their company and through Ameritel. She said the bill came from Ameritel in Bellville, NJ.

We called Ameritel and spoke with a woman named Shantay. We discovered Ameritel was trying to charge us for a phoney "company report". I asked what it was, but Shantey said she had no idea! I said, you are billing us for an alleged "report" and you don even know what it is? She admitted she has no idea. I asked what they do, and she admitted she has no idea what products or services they actually produce! I checked to see if Ameritel had a website. I discovered it was a phoney website offering absolutely NO PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. There was no contact info, no list of accomplishments, no list of satisfied cutomers, no products, and no services. It was in essence, a fake website, a front, for a SCAM COMPANY. A boiler room. I asked Shantey if they could remove the charges from our AT&T bill. She claimed that they never billed us. But clearly it was printed on our AT&T bill! I told her they WERE billing us. She said she could not remove the charges. I asked for a Manager. I had to call back numerous times over the course of a few days to speak with a Manager.

Finally I got in touch with woman named Shamara, claiming to be the Manager. She said she could not remove the AT&T charges. I asked her if she regularly recieved compliants about Fraudulent charges. She lied and said she never received any compliants. Clearly she was lying. I told her there were hundreds of complaints of Fraudulent charges listed on the Internet about her company. She simply lied throughout the call from that point on. I asked her to please tell me what she was charging us for, but she had no idea. I asked to explain what her company does, but she had no idea. I asked to why she was stealing from us, but she was silent.

She sounded like a crook with no conscience. I told her we NEVER requested any phoney report. I asked her if she is in business to steal from people. She would not respond. I told her that her company is stealing money from us each month. She did not seem to care! Then I told her that we contacted the following Federal Authorities to file complaints and investigations against Ameritel: FCC (888) 225 5322 fcc.gov, Federal Trade Commission, Public Service Commision, Govenors Office of Consumer Affairs, BBB of New Jersey, the Atty General of Georgia.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST ANY PERSON WHO EXPERIENCES THESE SCAMS CONTACT THESE STATE AND FEDERAL AUTHORITIES TO FILE COMPLAINTS. We also contacted the IRS, becuase we wanted the IRS to know about all the money these scammers were taking in. Good luck to these scum bags. Let them try to scam their way out of five Federal Investigations.

Bait and switch
The charge for my internet service IS NOT what I signed up for. I subscribed to the promotion rate at $29/mo. The bill came in at $44!! When I made a polite inquiry the response was, "Oh, that's because you didn't sign up for long distance service"!

I will discontinue my service and take them to small claims court for your deceptive advertising and "bait & switch" sales tactics. I have lots of time on my hands and will air my complaint with AT&T on every forum that i can find. My hope is that I will spare others from falling victim to AT&T's surreptitious practices and policies. A huge corporation like AT&T should not have to stoop to false advertising! Are they in trouble financially and becoming desperate and deceitful to get customers? Think it'll work? Hopefully they will not profit by their shameful tactics if enough other subscribers change to a more honest, even less expensive subscriber. There are some around (Earthlink for one). I would be glad to join/help organize a campaign against this false advertising practice.

Lies and never keep their promise
we have sign contract with AT&T landline for us be able to use DSL with all the plan that suppose to save us some money but it turn out to be a really ugly on and we still have to pay for it dearly for the last 3 years and we have 5 locations! I have been try to contact them for 2 years for them to fix it but go no where. they use "TACTIC" "I have to send to my upper manager" or " I have to contact you back" guess what nothing happen. I believe we suffer with AT&T with lots of money, my dad (the owner) get ready to call our lawyer since I have all the email respond to them (and little reply form them) see we might have to sue them.

customer service
I have been calling AT&T almost everday to get them to come and pick up the branches they left in my yard when they cut them last week to clear phone wires. I also called them today to reset my voice mail and they told me it would be reset by the time I get home from work. Well it wasn't. I have had phone trouble on and off since April 2010. They said they would give me a credit and I pulled up my bill and there was no credit. All they want to do is sell me on getting a cell phone through them. They can't seem to fix the problem so why would I want a cell phone through them. What happened to customer service. It used to be they would bend over backwards to keep your business. Not anymore. I am upset.

Poor customer service.
I hope AT@T lose every wireless customer they have. I have never met so many incompetent customer services reps. The only reason why I decided to sign up for their wireless service is because of the iPhone 4. I pre ordered my iPhone on june 15 got an conformation email stating that I would have it delivered on June 24. I didn't receive it at all. So I called customer service and they said that they do show an order from me even though I had an order number etc. So I spoke with the ordering dept and they said that my order number doesn't match my name address email or nothing. SO I decided to cancel a order that was never placed according to them. I thank God I didn't get the iPhone from them cause I can see now what type of problems I would have from them. I'll just wait until the iPhone is available on another carrier. I will tell everyone do not purchase any services from AT&T take your business somewhere else.

AT&T has to have the worst customer service of any company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life
I have my DSL through AT&T . A few weeks ago, it stopped working. After innumerable calls, I finally got through to the service center, which, by the way, is in INDIA. After asking me every irrelevant question in the book, they finally agreed to send over a technician. He was actually very helpful, and fixed the problem in the line. To do so he had to climb the telephone pole a block away. Then the problem happened again. Exact same problem, took the usual hour to get through to customer service in India, where the rep claimed to have magically fixed the line from his location. Of course, he couldn't and didn't. I tried contacting AT&T through their website, only to receive a message saying that I don't have service with them! The only phone numbers listed are the ones in India, and there is no address to write or email them. Don't know how to proceed at this point. AT&T has to have THE WORST customer service of ANY company that I have EVER dealt with in my ENTIRE LIFE!!!
