Billing
My bill is past due because I do not receive the bill. I have tried calling but I’m always transferred to somewhere where the phone is not answered. I just spent 1 hour on the phone trying to resolve this issue. I keep calling back and the last time I asked for a supervisor and again I was placed on hold and no one ever answered. They are a phone company that does not answer the phone. How moronic is that.

I have a history of horrible service from AT&T. My Pac Bell phone service was once hijacked by AT&T and my bill was much higher. I had a time getting my service back and getting my bill reduced. I currently live and have a business in an area that only has AT&T. What happened to breaking up the monopolies.

bundle package
I have a bundle package freo at&t. It supose to be a set price fod my unlemted long distance and dsl internet service. This is supose to be a set price of $74.42 a month This was started and dsl actavated 11/29/2008 the price was the same at least trough Oct.11, 20010. Then it keept bounching from$131.51 to 87.84..I have caled and had the mastake corrected and the next billing would ne higher again. I called this month and was refered to the dsl dep. This is what I was told. We are no longer coreccting this type or error. we are going to have a new department to handle and envestate each persons bill. Could not tell me a name of the department or when it would be open, now would they give me a phone number to the going to be new office, .What the said was I was to pay my bill no matter what the charge and if they opened the new department they may or may not examen my bill and they may or not refund the diffrence. Also it may take up to three monts to make any corrections. Also I asked to speek to the head person, said they were all in a meeting. I have sevral bill to prove what my bill supose to be and also were it is diffrent prices on diffrent months.
This should be aganst the law. They wont money you dont owe and keep that money as long as they like.

Continues to bill after we moved
We called Southern Bell(AT&T now) on Nov.1 2007 to let them know we were movingfrom 6231 SW 164th Path, Miami Fl 33193 We wanted to know how we could retain our ph# 305 388 9900 & retain use of my email address. We were moving temporarily to Homestead Fl, until march 2008 when we would then move permanently to Coral gables Fl. We were told to put the acct in suspension of some kind & pay a lower mo. rate. In january 2008 we found out that we could not retain the ph # due to the location of the new address, in Coral Gables we could not retain the 305 3889900 ph #. So we asked Juanita Ardilla, the supervisor from So. Bell we were dealing with, to give us a refund for the $'s we had paid and to cancel the internet service. In the meantime they cutoff the phone & internet services at the new owners at 6231SW 164 Path, Miami, our previous address. In March of 2008 the bldg. we were hoping to move for was not ready, so we moved to N.J In October 2008 we moved back to Coral gables Fl. In February of 2009 we received a statement from AT&T for monthly Fast Acces & Fast Access DSL Xtreme internet services. Come to find out they had been billing us monthly & sending the bill to 6231SW 164 Path, Miami, the home we had moved from Nov. 2007. AT&T then submitted the bills to the Homestead addres, from which we had moved in March 2008 We spoke on February 13, 2009 with Mr. Bush and Ms Arlene explaining the above issues & both told us they or someone would be calling back in 7 to 10 days. This is May 10 & we just received another statement from AT&T, now we owe according to them $761.74 We did pay the charges for Nov., Dec. 2007, & Jan 2008. We have not received any internet fast access services since Nov. 2007 & AT&T continues to bill us. No one has ever contact us from ATT other than by continued monthlu bills. Don't you think that by now they should have at least turned off the service for non payment? And yet they continue to bill for fast internet service. We are frustrated by their actions & inactions, perhaps they even have reported my credit for non payment. Perhaps is time to get an attorney or the media involved.

unauthorized debiting of accounts
I work in the customer service department of a small town bank. I have had several customers call me to inquire about a strange debit on their account payable to 12525 Cingular Way Alpharetta GA. More research revealed that the debits were to AT&T and were debited using the customers debit cards. One account was hit for $301.10 and $456.18 within about a two week time frame. None of the customers said to have authorized the debits or have any idea why AT&T would have debited their account because their phone bills were current. The recieved little to no cooperation from AT&T. I'm wondering if it isn't some scam using AT&T's name. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what little I know.

Fraud
I was promised that U-Verse would have Israeli channels which was quoted by the telephone sales person and verified by her supervisor. During the course of the installation on 03-Jun-11, the technician checked with his supervisor who said that the work order was for service including an Italian channel, but no Israeli channel was available. I ask him to abort the installation and return my service to the existing DSL on my main phone line, as before. He could not, but promised along with his supervisor that service would be restored by 06-Jun-11. After many calls and many promises, I now have an email promising that new U-Verse hardware will arrive by UPS ground on 21-Jun-11

Refused to release from contract with bad coverage
AT&T provided great coverage for me for several years in Dallas, TX. I relocated to San Diego and upon arrival 3 people on 3 different types of phones and 2 service plans with AT&T could not hold a phone conversation in my new home for more than a minute or two. The service continually dropped phone calls.

I eventually purchased a magic jack so that I could place phone calls to companies that I knew I would be on hold with because I could not make those types of calls with my phone.

I contacted AT&T and at their advice I purchased a $200 micro cell tower to provide an internal signal. The problem with this is that my service was strong, it was however intermittent and unreliable. When the Micro cell tower senses that you are in the presence of a good signal it releases your phone call from it and puts you back on the wireless service, which in my case constantly failed and dropped calls.

I finally made the decision to switch providers and contacted AT&T about my problems again and asked since they had no solution for my phone to work if they could help me with the cancellation fee.

I understand that it is a contract however their side of the contract was to provide phone service which they are not. There answer was that I was given a 30 day trial period when I first signed up so as a customer if you ever move into an area where coverage is not good they will not take any blame for their service not functioning properly.

As a business owner I recognize when my company has done something wrong and I make every effort to help out a customer. AT&T had no interested in helping me with the excessive contract fees, providing any discount for them, or obviously ever having me as a customer again.

Lying Sales Person
I called AT&T for pricing and services offered in my erea, and told the sales person what my reason for enquiring about AT&T internet services was for . The sales person told me that AT&T had hi speed internet that could handle the task that I was trying to do (up load voice teachings to an FTP site) AT&T never once told me that the service that was available in my erea was the lowest MB available. I feel I was lied to just to make a sale, and now they tell me that I'm locked into a package contract and there is nothing that could be done to resolve this problem.

CEO Randall stephenson LIED about Reimbursement
On April 16, 2011, my iPhone 3GS was bricked. I called AT&T, who said I was still under contract for the data/phone plane, and had to upgrade my phone to the iPhone 4. However, because I was not within 3 months of my two year contract, I had to pay $199 for the iPhone 4, plus $200 to renew my contract. I told AT&T I had no intention to renew any contract, and that I wanted out of my contract. I was promised my Customer Service David Dupey on 6/03/2011 that I would receive a check in the mail for $84.93, since AT&T customers always pay one month in advance for service. In my case, I had paid for service from 5/01/11 - 5/31/11 on my April 3rd bill.

I was also promised a call back from a manager on June 14, 2011 with a followup email. Not only did I not receive a phone call or email as Mr. Dupey promised, I was told AT&T does not pro rate for the month not used. The CSR argued with me even though I told her when I signed up for service on 12/28/09, that I was pro rated for two days of service for 12/30/09 - 12/31/09 then charged one month in advance for 1/01/10 - 1/31/10.

I also spoke to a Jackie Delia, and her manager, Leanna Thomas, who told me the Terms and Conditions had changed since I signed up as an AT&T customer from Verizon. And that the terms clearly state no reimbursements for pro rated service, even though AT&T can pro rate to start a service.

I switched over from Verizon to AT&T solely for the use of the iPhone. I suggest to those interested in the iphone to sign up with Verizon, or if you want to use AT&T service, do NOT sign a contract, but buy a new or used iphone on ebay or Amazon without a contract. Pay month to month. The service at AT&T is lousy, and they do not have dedicated staff to help with mobile services like Verizon has.

NEVER GET INTO A CONTRACT WITH AT&T. They will change the Terms and Conditions on you. I also suggest you file a complaint with the FCC, and join another AT&T class action suit for iPhone users.

AT&T sucks! Merging with T-Mobile will hurt T-mobile's customer service base. AT&T has lost many iPhone users to Verizon, even though AT&T states you cannot surf the web and talk at the same time. Quality of service is important, and Verizon's customer service and network is the best.

Ba Bye AT&T. So happy to be out of contract with you, and I am never going back!

U-Verse Service
PAY MORE AND GET MUCH LESS!! I got a $90 charge for Restoral Fee which is ridiculous, as I did not receive my bill in the mail to make payment (apparently it went to paperless billing which I did not authorize). I tried calling AT&T and was put on hold for 40 mins waiting for a rep to talk to. Then a rep said "I cannot pull up your U-Verse account" even though the number I used was advertised everywhere as a U-Verse contact number. I asked not to be put on hold again but was promptly put on hold again and I am still waiting - its now been ONE HOUR on hold to discuss my bill. I AM DONE WITH AT&T AND GOING ON TO ANY OTHER SERVICE BUT AT&T.
