Do not believe anything AT&T tells you
Do not believe anything AT&T tells you. If you do you will be very surprised when you get your bill. I got screwed before I knew what was happening. Now I am a disabled person on a fixed income that has to rely on my phone but thanks to AT&T and their lies I may not have one for long. I switched over to the so called bundle package to save money and boy was i surprised when I got my first bill which was over $300.00. Only God can help me now becauseHe is the only one who can defeat saten aka AT&T.I was told I would get a $325.00 rebate but so far all I have coming is $125.00. I want to know where my other $200.00 is and will I ever get it? I am going to have to do without my medication to try to pay this bill.

I cannot wait to cancel this company and go with another
When you called me you promised me 400 channels plus 4 tv and dvr and all premium channels for $84.00and this was not a promotion. then you call and said it will be $98.00 minus 2 tvs. Then I get my last bill and it is $129.00 a month I cannot wait to cancel this company and go with another. I will tell all my friends and everyone I can think of not to go with att.

Unauthorized debit from checking account
I closed my AT&T phone and internet service account after 6 years of excellent service provided by AT&T. This is where the trouble began. I forgot to remove the autopay I set up online before I cancelled service. When I realized it I called AT&T and they said no problem, they would stop the autopay and send me a final bill for me to pay by check. They stopped the next autopay, but never sent me a final bill and just took the final bill amount out of my checking account which included an additional charge that was not clear to me. I called them and after being transferred around at least ten times, and hung up on, I finally got someone who said they could help me, but wanted to know if they talk to me about other options available to me from AT&T. I SAID NO. They wanted an alternate phone number on me so they could call me to sell me new products, I SAID NO. I just wanted to find out what the extra charge was for and make sure there would be no more debits against my checking account. My internet billing cycle ended on 5th, and I cancelled on the 9th so this made me responsible for the entire months billing. When I cancelled I was not told this. Apparently it was in the original agreement, but it would have been nice for them to remind me of this when I cancelled. NO MORE AT&T FOR ME!

Fraud
I am trying to buy a house and just found out that atat reported an account that does not belong to me. I have been trying to contact atat fraud dept. But all I get is a message saying to leave name and number and that they will return the call. I am still waiting for the call.

Overcharging for bundled services
I am having the same problem, with AT&T i ordered the phone bundle and got a total different Bundle, they was charging me for services i didn't even order, when i complained to them and told them to take it off my bill they still charged me again for this service the next month and the next month, i originally ordered the phone service with internet only for $68 a month and they were charging me $192 for one month bill, finally i had to tell them to discontinue all together. I am contacting people with this situation, because I am planning on a possible class action against them. They are overcharging people and making them pay these bills regardless and it's not right. Why should we pay for something we didn't ask for. Any one having the same problem my email address is [email protected] if you want in to contact me.

U-verse Bait and Switch
I am shocked by the level of poor customer service, and the unwillingness to stand behind advertised offers. Today, after going to the u-verse website, to see advertised promotions, they had a large screen devoted to the current special of $400 back when ordering the triple bundle. After putting all of the required items in my cart to receive the $400 back, I clicked on the link that says "what promotions would my order be eligible for", and it continually said only $300 back. After trying this several times, I decided to do an online Chat/Customer Service support. I was first told that the offer expired. I said no, it says under offer details that the deal runs from 2/7-2/10, 2010. Then he said simply that internet deals are subject to change.
Now, from what I can see, this is bait and switch, which I thought was illegal. He said they would change the main website to reflect these changes, but as of 2 hours later, it still says $400 back. For the unassuming who placed the order thinking that they were going to get the advertised $400, they have a surprise coming.
The customer representative provided no help, and clearly didn't care if I decided to become a customer or not. I hate Time Warner, but I will choose a known devil over this mess. This indicates to me that they are dishonest, unhelpful, and not worth doing business with.
I have screen captures of these great 'deals', along with my chat log, which I will be sending to all the relevant parties. I am disgusted, and will be canceling my phone and internet, that I currently carry through AT&T.
Buyer Beware is an understatement.

Bogus Billing
I had a home land-line through AT&T for several years. I only used it for dial-up internet service, and my internet was through a different company. I had the cheapest basic service through AT&T, all I had was a dial tone. I used my cell for phone calls, which I had through another company as well. My bill was less than $25 per month from AT&T. In mid-November 2008, I took advantage of a bundling package from my wireless provider and I purchased a cellular modem and wireless internet through Alltel. Once it was up and running, I called AT&T and cancelled my land line. When I got my bill, it was for the entire month of November. No big deal, but I didn't see anything about a cancellation so I called AT&T. They said they had no record of a cancellation, so they supposedly cancelled it at that time. I told them to send me another bill noting the cancellation. A month later I got another bill for 2 months of service. Again I called, again there was no record of cancellation of service. They supposedly cancelled it at that time. I told them I would not pay for December, but if they would simply send me a bill for November I would pay that. A month later I received a bill for 3 months of service. I called them, raging mad, and I told them I would only pay for November, not December or January. I told them that they could check their records and note that the line had not been used since mid-November, because I haven't had anything even plugged into the phone jack since then. I also told them I would pay for November if they sent me a revised bill only charging me for that month. Instead of trying to resolve the matter, they turned it over to a collection agency and now they are threatening to sue me for $75.

Service
I called At&t to inquire why my phone bill was practically double than normal and waited for a customer service representative for 40 minutes although when I finally connected with one he stated he had sat there for an hour without one call. Then he went on to explain he was new and maybe he wasn't routed many calls.
That's just what I wanted to hear.
When I explained my problem he stated my plan had been changed the previous month although I am the only one on this account and I have a password protected account.
When I decided this was just too much to believe, I really don't even need a home phone, he transferred me to retention and stated that was pretty much all he did all day was transfer calls to retention.
Who is running this company? I then sat on the phone again for 15 minutes and could not convince this person that I have had it...and wanted to disconnect. I have Verizon cell service that I am more than happy with...so finally he agreed to disconnect my phone but before I knew it he transferred me to the Uverse department and I had to start all over again.
I will never get these two hours of my life back...but at least I'm through with At&t.

Poor service
Called with a question regarding my bill where it appears a service call was placed on the line although we did not place one. The customer service rep said "someone called" and that there was nothing we could do about an $85 charge. I'm mad as hell; i know nobody called and even though it's their mistake they're trying to force me to pay for it.
