Very Bad Service
We had an installation schedule for the AT&T U-Verse on January 31 st, we had ordered this on the 31 of December. We were in the living room waiting for the cable guy to show up and do the installation so we can get on with other important chores. We were sitting there with my brother, mom, and his two friends that came to play a video game. The installation was scheduled for 12:00-2:00. We finally got a call from an AT&T U-Verse employee, the one that was supposed to install U-Verse for us today, 1-734-523-7914. It was 12:45. On the call he asked if we wanted to re-schedule, and we replied "no, one month is not enough for you?". He then told us that he will come at 1:00. We said alright. Hours passed, and there was no sign of him, no call, nothing. We tried, and tried alot to contact him from the number that he called us from, and a few other numbers. They all had us waiting for 2.5 hrs. Like I mentioned earlier, we were all waiting for him, from 12:00-2:40. We got on the internet, and saw that our appointment was scheduled for 8pm. We were shocked, and then waited for a few more hours, and then finally our call got to them. Someone from the AT&T U-verse picked up the phone. We asked him about the installation, he said that it has been re-scheduled for February 24. We all were sad, and didn't talk much, because it just wasn't clear enough, on why he re-scheduled. The someone also said that he came at exactly 2:40, and knocked a whole lot, then went away. THAT WAS TOTALLY A LIE. WE WERE IN THE LIVING ROOM, OUR FRONT DOOR WAS COMPLETELY OPEN!!! SO WAS OUR BACK DOOR!!! THE ONLY ENTRANCE THAT WAS CLOSED WAS OUR GATE, BUT IT WASN'T LOCKED!!! OVERALL HE LIED, AND NEVER SHOWED UP, AND WITH THAT HE SQUELCHED OUR EXCITEMENT, ANY HAPPINESS FOR GETTING THE U-VERSE, AND HOW ENTERTAINING IT WOULD BE. AT&T U-VERSE WAS THE BADDEST SERVICE WE EVER HAD.

Bad service
On 12-3-08 a U-verse tech came to install internet, cable, and home phone service. At first we told him we may not need the phone service and would use our cells. While he was installing I told him I did indeed need the home phone as our ATT cell service was horrible inside our home. Being that my son is dependent on oxygen(at times) and needs breathing treatments, I have to have reliable access to 911 service.
The tech said, "no problem". He told my husband he would be back later that day by 8pm to get the phone service running. He left the welcome packs and instructions for all services including phone. The install tech provided his cell number to call him if we had any questions. The tech never returned on the 3rd. We called the tech numerous times on the 4th to find out when he was going to return. By 2pm on the 4th, no call back from the tech so we call the main ATT. We are told by ATT Customer Service to keep checking our phone line as the service would be up anytime within 72 hours from when install tech left. ATT even told us our lines were tested and were fine from their end. On 12-5-08, I had to take my son to a doctor appointment at 11:30. Upon returning home a notice was on the door stating access could be granted to backyard and to call ATT to reschedule. I was livid as we were not told anyone needed to come out nor would they need access to hook up phone. We were told to keep checking our phone for service. We immediately call ATT and get transferred several times. The total time on our cell with ATT 64:57. This after being hung up on and having to begin the process all over. We are finally given a person who states it was to late for a tech to come out same day(12-5-08). We ask for a supervisor hoping they can understand what all we have gone through and the urgency on a land line phone. We are told by a floor supervisor it would be Monday 12-8-08 between 8-8 for a tech to be at our home. I had my husband take off work another day to relieve my mother around 1pm at my house. Still by 5pm 12-8, no ATT technician or phone call. 12-9-08 at 8:45am I call ATT very upset explaining what all has transpired. No show from ATT twice and no return call back from their technician. This time it takes over 80 minutes to get to someone who can help me after numerous transfers. I am told by one rep that it would be today(12-9-08) by 8pm a technician would be out. I then get a call back on my cell and a message saying 12-29-08 is the soonest they can come back out. Now we are without reliable phone service if my son would need emergency services. All this due to the first install technician. Even worse, ATT cut my existing Time Warner lines, so I cannot even use my Time Warner phone until ATT some day gets back out to my home. I am now stuck paying for Time Warner which I cannot use, plus ATT. I was told not to disconnect Time Warner until ATT was installed. I do not know where to turn and ATT is simply no help and not very eager to assist. I would never recommend ATT at this point. I am worried for my son that I will not ever know when exactly a phone will be hooked up. This is what I get for trying to save some money. I heard from various people how ATT beat TWC. I do not see it. I am really thinking about cutting 4 cells and shipping this stuff back myself. I cannot find anyone in upper management to assist. When I ask...I have been told no one is available. I will update when ever I get some solution. Thanks for a place to worry and vent publicly.

AT&T Rewards
U-verse installed Nov. 6 '08; not totally happy
with some parts of the program; received two (2)
letters regarding getting my $200. reward and
HOW EASY IT IS TO GET REWARD ONLINE AND
check online. That is not true; the 2 letters I have
give me a 12/25/2008 deadline BUT I cannot get
to the proper address!!!
I also requested a better service plan for my two
(2) land lines (713.682.2622 and 713.682.0414)
That was to be taken care of on Nov. 6; nothing
has been done yet.
My e-mail address is [email protected] but
this program would not take that so I was
forced to give my old earthlink address and it is
no longer in use!!! What is going on!!!

Unbelieveable Crap
I recently lost my job due to downsizing and wanted to save money so I switched from Time Warner to AT&T U-verse. It took them over 3 days to install my internet and TV service and was told it would be a month to get my phone service working. Well its been a month and I was called and told I wouldn't get phone service and they had no idea when it would be installed. I had a telephone interview today and guess what...AT&T decided to switch my service without telling me and without getting all the bugs out and you guessed it I never recieved the Job Phone interview because my phone isn't working. And get this, they are going to give me a temperary phone number for 7 - 10 days while they work with my old phone company to get my old phone number back...OMG!

Rebate
I had high speed internet installed and U-Verse on my televisions and was told that I would get a rebate check in 4 to six weeks.
I did not receive anything and I called AT&T and the employee whom I spoke with said she would take care of it. I was supposed to get $50.00 for the internet high-speed and then on the U-Verse I was supposed to get $200.00 back on a credit card for that plus the high speed DSL on my computer. I am still waiting. I cannot even find a link for rebate information.

I cannot get into att.com/rewardscenter. It says try this and that but never can get into rewards center for our $ rebate on exchanging into AT&T U-verse.

Terrible Service
Today, November 8th was the 6th day I waited for an installer to show up. Once again, no call, no show and when I finally got a service rep on the phone I was told no one ever confirmed the installation. This is after I spoke with 2 other individuals that confirmed they would be here this morning. As I said, today was try #6 and I've had it! They seem to spend a ton of money advertising their u-verse packages but can't support them. I will say their customer service reps have been extremely nice. I believe their problem is with their dispatch department. They need some serious help. Each call is a minimum of 45 minutes hold time and then they can't figure out the problems for an installation. The only rep that showed up at my house said, "We have a bunch of idiots working for AT&T" and after he sat at my house for 2 hours unable to do anything because his boss wouldn't allow him, he said "That's OK, I'm union, I'm getting paid for it". Does this sound like good customer service to anyone? Nobody cares. I have had my big screen TV sitting on my coffee table for over a month after having to ask someone to help me move it since the installer isn't allowed to. I have not had DSL for over 3 weeks because they told me I had to get my previous service disconnected - that's a whole nother issue in itself that I won't go into. Bottom line is, my child can't get homework done because he needs internet access. AT&T has no idea the amount of inconvenience they have cause me. The sad part is that they don't seem to care since there is no way to lodge a formal complaint on their website or over the phone. Today is Saturday and I was told I would not hear back from a manager until Tuesday since they have a 24 hour turnaround. I don't have faith I will even hear back then since I have spoken to multiple managers who have dropped the ball and not followed up with me to date. This is incredible. Oh, by the way, my employer began a national installation with them and after numerous problems, pulled the plug on them also. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this company!

extremely poor service
AT&T U-Verse was supposed to have my phone service installed on October 5th between 8-10 AM. They kept moving the appt and finally wanted to come at 7 PM. I wasn't available that time so I asked them not to come that day. No apologies or phone call to reschedule the appt until i called them after few days. Then Nov 3rd a technician came to find out that AT&T had done no previous planning to have my phone service activated that day. After half-day from work and one and half hour of calls with AT&T, the technician went back without doing anything. Then when i was upset, i was told that they would do it on November 25th because Comcast is not letting them port my number before Nov 25th. I found out from Comcast that AT&T is the one who requested the date because they didn't have any available dates before that. Even their corporate office was very poor in handling customer complaint. They give you lot of stories without checking any fact. Now I am in the process of moving all my services back to Comcast. If you have problem with Comcast, you'll have lot more problem with AT&T U-verse. I was stunned by their nasty customer service and poor corporate handling of customer complaints.

Website doesn't exist??? Guess I'll have to "feel free to call the Reward Center team" as suggested in the "snail mail" if you're having troubles with the Rewards Center!!!

No rewards
I cannot find anything on rebates & rewards. I have been fooled into getting a service that I don't think is any better than what I had. I also did not find any rewardcenter web site. This is a scam as for as I can see. If you cannot send me my reward as you promised I will never recommend anyone to you. Make me a believer and send me what you promised. 300 dollars in rewards. You send me a bill every month, how about you live up to all your advertising. I want to use my rewards towards my bill. I expect to see a negative balance on the next bill.
