Failed o install and now won't release my phone # to another company.
Ordered service two weeks before move. Set up time for 6-19-2009 early morning. Waited in house since 7:30 am as instructed. called about 11 am and was told they had until 12 noon to install. Called about 1:30 pm and was tpld they had until 6 pm. I called and was told they had until 10 pm. Called at about 10:30 pm and was told the account was placed on "in jeopardy" status but they did not know what that meant. Asked to speak to a manager was HUNG UP ON. She did tell me to call back Monday as they were to close over the weekend. Called back Monday and she confirmed we were on "in jeopardy" but shae did nt know what that was. Checking further she said they were susposed to senf me a modem in the mail which would take 3 days. Not having faith in the US mail I wanted better service. She susgested I go to Best Buy's and buy my own modem. I told her to cancel my order, no contracts were signed and she said it would be no problem. Making all these phone calls was a very frustrating experience as you had waits of 10 to 15 minutes then they would transfer you to another person who again transfer you to someone else and eventually you were hung up on by them telling me to hold onto the phone which would be silent and she would be right back. One time I held on for 30 minutesw and only knew I was disconnected when I got a phone call. I was afraid to hang up as I did before because this girl sewemed like she could help and you cannot call anyone bach. Now they have place a hold on my phone # and will not release it so I can get service from Cableone.net. They have both denied and admitted to having a hold on my number. I cannot speak to a manager as they refuse to let me. Billing Accct 39942936.
