I start with saying I have been an AT&T customer for 10 years and I have never seen the lack of customer servic I saw when I tried to sign up for UVerse service. I signed up online around the 14th of January and was told I would receive and email confirming my Internet had been turned on that week. I did receive an email, but I told me my order had been put on hold until I called, they need more info on my account. When I called, they had not processed my order and the only thing they wanted to do was to "up sell" me. They had to cancel my original order and start a new one to activate my modem to be sent, just to find out my service would not be activated until the 9th of February.
A. I ordered what I wanted and did not need to be "sold"
B. Cancelling my order set me back 3 weeks on service
C. After multiple calls to the sales department and the Uverse team, I have wasted over 3 hours of my time and been tranfered so many times and had to repeat my story over and over
D. The supervisors said they would move my activation date up but never called me back and they hung up on me and never called back.
E. I asked to finally cancel my order, was transfered again, and they hung up again.
F. I started a business and now have suffered profit loss because I cannot do business from home.
I have the name and ID numbers of all of the customer service reps involved. I will be calling and writing in. This has been enough hassel to make me want to switch service compleatly, to another provider.
