Over Charged
My wife made an online payment to AT&T for $219. The AT&T site charged our account 8 times for this amount. When we contacted them the next day after finding that they had cleaned out our account the AT&T agent told my wife it was her fault and that they could do nothing. After many transfers she finally talked to someone claiming to be a supervisor that said if we conference her with our bank she could have them cancel the transactions. We went to our bank and were told that they could not help until after the transactions had posted. My wife then attempted to contact the supervisor again and no-one knew who she was. We were then told they did not have supervisor numbers and cannot transfer us to a supervisor. They also told her that there is no complaints department. Finally we noticed that they pushed the transactions through to now show our account at 1500+ over. When she now asked if they could cancel the transactions and credit our account back they offered the send us a check at the end of the week. So after over 4 hours on the phone, we have no money in our account and will have to wait over a week for the funds to be returned.

Customer Service
Customer Service is the worst. I have not had service in a week and right now I've been on the phone for an hour...being bounced around.
I'm disgusted with them.

This too is aggravating
I subscribe to ATT Uverse...complete package of Phone, Hi Speed Internet and Television (Four (4) boexes..one DVR.
I would like to program into my T.V. the weather at various places of interest..and NOT the four cities listed. The instructions in the "Help" section are totally USELESS. And the Website is even WORSE. This is more complicated than it needs to be, and very frustrating. Also, I sometimes like to play a game on the T.V. .. just to pass the time. Chess is listed, but NOT AVAILABLE! If NOT..why not offer anothe game? This too is aggravating, and My only real game choise is "Mah-Jongg Tiles"...as I find "Solitaire" quite DULL, and have never been a fan of "Sudoku". Why don't you fix these problems, and try a little harder to satisfy customers such as myself, that spend a load of Money every month for your service?

AT&T UVerse Sucks - DO NOT BUY
We had AT&T Uverse installed a few months ago. It doesn't work half the time. We have had them out twice to fix it. For the last visit, the technician did not show up.
AT&T Uverse's product is horrible. The people who work for AT&T are ignorant and lazy. Do not buy their product.

At&t U-Verse is a total bunch of CRAP!!!, When it was sold to me, it wasn't even available in my area. Took over 3 wks to get it. I have had it now for 1 week, and I have only had a signal for 3 days out of the seven. Tech support says they are booked and I cannot get anyone out for another 3 days. I gave up Direct TV (which was no longer under contract) I gave up Comcast Internet (which was not under contract, and a very good price) I thought AT&T would be reliable, but they have not been. They all talked out of the side of their mouth. It has been a nightmare. I missed two days of work trying to get it installed, because they did not have the courtesy to call me at work to tell me not to bother to come home because they were not ready. I would not recommend it, and I have told all of my friends and neighbors of my nightmare. All that had scheduled for the U-Verse, have all cancelled their orders.

Failure of Weather on Demand
Today, 6-9-10, was the last nail in the coffin for AT&T Uverse. I wanted to take a quick look at the Weather on Demand service, for the outside conditions. To my surprise, the service was completely unavailable. My only other reason to even watch Uverse is for the 'Pink Panther' cartoons on Boomerang. With Comcast, I was always assued of the local forecast by tunin' into Weatherscan. Never had to worry about gettin' the national feed. My mother made an egregious mistake switchin' us to Uverse! Complete Failure
I was sold a bundled package by AT&T uVerse representative over the phone on May 5, 2010. I went with voice, internet and cable bundled. I tehn find out the day they install it that I can watch only a single HD stream to my house which means that I cannot watch HD on more than one of the three HD TVs in my house. I cannot record more than one HD program at a time, and if I want to watch an HD show, IU cannot record another HD show. This is obvious not a solution for a house with three HD TV's.
The representative tells me "we told you that in our disclaimer" to which I stated that this was not relayed to me. Then on Sunday morning all services go completely out. Someone is coming out from 12-4 to fix it. At 1230pm, I am told by the tech that there is no signal to the hosue and someone else now must come out.
No further news. At 400pm, I call and they state that the tech is still working on it. At 730pm, I finally push to have the rep contact the dispatch office. Dispatch tells me that the tech put notes in the case that said "this customer should not have been set up with AT&T uVerse."
So I am really pissed now. AT&T has come to my house and told me they dont want me as a customer and will not fix things to put them back the way they were when this all began. A tech comes out today to switch things back and does NOTHING but remove the cable that AT&T installed. He tells me I haev to have Time Warner come and fix things that they screwed up!
So here are the facts:
1. AT&T knowingly sold me servcie that they have no intention of providing
2. AT&T went out and refused to fix problems, saying instead "this customer should not have had uVerse set up."
3. At no time has AT&T mad any attempt to call and discuss the issues at hand.
4. I was disconnected a total of twelve times over the weekend as I was talking with customer service representatives.
If they charge me even $.01 I am going to take them to court and sue them. I am so pissed right now that they have decided to walk all over me and provide NO SERVICE at every turn.
I will be sure to tell everyone about how AT&T is going to swindle you and trick you into buying a substandard product.
I hope someone reads this and it prevents AT&T from taking advantage of others.

I am very displeased with their troubleshooting and help processes
I have 2 complaints:
1) Uverse Voice mail will download my phone messages to Firefox (or IE8) upon request, and will attempt to open either Windows Media Player (or iTunes) upon media selection--BUT, it will not open the message an play it.
2) I called them twice and spent over six hours trying to fix the problem with 7 different people. I got many explanations about what the problem might be and a number of potential fixes. Depending upon who you talked to, I got goofiness ranging from them telling me to shut off basic security and firewall utilities to telling me that someone else may have hijacked mt account. Furthermore, the 7 people were all distracted--either they were doing their own "social media" thing, or trying to answer numerous help desk inquiries.
All-in-all I am very displeased with their troubleshooting and help processes and am about to switch services. In the meantime, I am going to change my contact information with my various service providers (that use my at&t email for contacting me) to something like Gmail, so that I am not tied to a particular provider. (I suggest that, for the sake of flexibility, everyone else do the same, so that they can switch ISPs with as few headaches as possible. No one should ever be trapped with a dependency on sloppy ISPs.)

Fraudulent business practices
I had Uverse installed. The tech that came out to install it did a terrible job. He actually zip-tied the outside box to my power pole. The zip-ties have since broken and the box is now hanging upside down against my house. They said they would be happy to fix it, they will only charge me $55 for the service call. I believe I will be going back to Time-Warner, at least I felt like they appreciated my business.

Avoid like the plague
AT&T Uverse is ridiculous. Over the past 2 1/2 months I have had 6 technicians out to my house to try to resolve constant internet and TV freezing issues. It has been nothing short of mind numbing to deal with these people. I especially like when the techs blame the issue on something else everytime. I'm in IT, I know there can be issues with things like this but give me a break. I've had to take two half days off of work and have spent countless hours trying to get issues resolved. As a matter of fact I am currently on hold with them right now trying to get a credit...1 hr 5 minutes and counting...impressive. All I can say is if you get a flyer in the mail...burn it, use it as toilet paper, recycle it, throw it away...do whatever you want with it BUT don't call and sign up!!!
PS - Still on hold...1 hr 14 minutes :)
