I know everyone is having credit card issues -- but for some reason this surprised me. I have had and ATT Visa for 20 years -- my interest rate went up to about 17% with out me knowing. When I called to check on this -- they explained that I had a payment that came in 1 day late -- so my account went into default and they raised my rate to the highest one they could charge. CRAZY!!! How is this legal?? It's such an icky thing to do. I told them that i was going to cancel -- so they reduced to 11%..
