I placed a call to the company Atlanta Solution Locksmith because I had an issue where my key would not come out of my ignition once I turned my car off. My car was working fine, it was able to crank up and operate however the only issue was that the key was not being released from the ignition once cut off. A rep came out and looked at my ignition and was able to have my key released however he informed me of an issue with the electrical part within my ignition that was not working properly and needed to be replaced. He advised that he would go to the Ford Dealership to purchase the part and will come back the next morning to install. I provided him with a deposit of $100.00 so that he would be able to buy the part from Ford. I provided him with the make and model of my car so that he would be able to retrieve the proper part. On Thursday afternoon, he returned with the part and replaced it in my car. We both were able to crank up the car and once the ignition was shut off the key was released. I paid an additional $165 upon completion of the job. However I found that when I took my key out of the ignition and opened my driver side door my radio would stay on and my car would beep as if my key was still in the ignition. Prior to this issue and the repair my car radio would shut off once the key was out of the ignition and the driver’s door was open. By these things not shutting off this drained my battery causing it to not crank. I called Sunday and was advised that I would need to call the following day because no one was available to come out until that following Monday. I waited and called Monday morning and explained my issue. The rep advised me of the cell # to the rep that worked on my ignition and advised me to inform him of my issues. I called his cell and began explaining my issue and he became rude and said that this was not his problem and I would need to take my car to the mechanic. I advised that I jus t need him to come out and look at what he installed and he refused to do so and hung up on me. I called the main # back and explained the issue and the rep advised that the service man did a good job and that this was not their fault. I asked to speak with a manager he refused to allow me to do so and hung up on me. They then called back and I explained he sent someone else out with a jumper cable. I explained that the battery was not the main issue they improperly installed part drained my battery. He then informed that someone else would come out and take a look at the part. I called back a couple of hours later and was informed that there was nothing they can do because there isn’t an issue with what they installed. The rep advised me to call the service man and apologize to see if he would come out and take a look at the part. I refused to do so because I did not do anything wrong. I also pointed out that on their receipt there is to be a 90 day guarantee on newly installed materials the company refused to honor that in my case.
I ended up taking my vehicle to a dealership to repair the bad part that was placed on my car by the locksmith. I also threatened to contact Immigration the manager called me back begging not to contact the Immigration office because they were illegal. The manager advised that the rep would take the money to the dealership to pay for the repair but they never honored that.
