MY ADVICE IS TO FIND ANOTHER MOVER. I wish I had done more research before hiring Atlantic Relocation Inc. Dates and times are meaningless, customer service is nonexistent, and you will be charged more than quoted in a most fraudulent manner. We were forced to pay $1, 690 MORE than our estimate of $2200. Funds must be in cash or postal money order or your possessions will be held in ransom. You will be forced to sign papers saying your goods arrived without damage prior to unloading - no exceptions.

We were charged for more cubic feet than the space on the truck measured. Our goods were being transported from a storage unit advertised as 800 cubic feet. Atlantic Relocation charged us for 900. Advice from them was to 'measure the truck after unloading'. We did and it measured 832. The driver agreed and signed our paperwork. However, when charges were disputed, Atlantic Relocation Inc used white-out to remove their driver's signature and shortened the legal size document to a letter-sized paper removing our comments about the incorrect measurement along with a refund promised for an 'unpacking' fee.

The company did not unpack anything. When we questioned the charge, while the driver was unloading, Jay told me that is was for hooking up appliances or uncovering mattresses. We had no mattresses and the only appliance we had was placed in the garage. He told me he would send a refund. Eight months later and we are still waiting. We were charged for 26 rolls of tape. Our items were moved from a storage facility that contained mostly boxes already taped.

In addition, we used professional moving boxes that were intended to be stacked with like boxes for strength integrity. However, the amateur drivers just threw everything on the truck. The boxes were crushed and items damaged. However, because you are forced to sign papers before unpacking, trying to get money back from this company will never happen.

We are all tempted by what looks like a 'good' price. Don't be mislead. THIS IS A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY THAT IS AN INTERNET SCAM.
