STAY AWAY from Atomic Arcade, Dave Brown a SCAM. David Brown is a LIAR and a cheat. He ripped us off big time. We bought a new machine from him ( a multicade ) and we have EVERYTHING in writing to prove how he ripped us off! DO NOT BUY FROM HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! AVOID DAVID BROWN AND ATOMIC ARCADE LIKE THE PLAGUE. He broke our kids hearts and took us for over $3, 000.00. There is no warranty, there is no white glove service, the units you will receive from him are of the lowest quality on the planet! I had to have a local company replace most of his 'new and cheap' parts for better quality parts. Joystick broke first day, no sound, no manual etc. Again I have everything in writing to prove my cas

The following can all be proving as i have them in WRITING from Atomic Arcade and he did NOT honor ANY of them:
1. His WRITTEN promises to fix the machine one week after delivery. Which he NEVER did
2. His WRITTEN promises of delivery on time. Which did NOT happen (3 weeks late).
3. His WRITTEN promise of a discount. Which did NOT happen
4. His WRITTEN promises of white glove service which did NOT happen.
5.His WRITTEN promises of a manual which did NOT happen.
ALL IN WRITING. WHO EVER WANTS THEM CAN HAVE THEM TO PROVE MY CASE.
Not to mention the machine sat here for over 2 months while I waited for service from Atomic Arcade AKA David Brown that NEVER happened. My kid would ask me everyday why he cant use the new machine. Finally I had 3 different local licensed and bonded companies come out and estimate the REPAIRS NEEDED to the machine Atomic Arcade AKA David Brown sold me. All 3 gave me their comments in WRITING which I will send to any one that wants it. I already contacted the Attorney General and sent him all my written evidence. Until than I paid and had the machine repaired with good quality parts. And by the way, LATER I FIND THIS OUT: I have evidence from Atomic Arcade and his vendor n writing admitting that Atomic Arcade is only a home based broker type of business. The machine he sent me was purchased from another online company and he simply had it dropped shipped to me. Plus: Atomic arcade does NOT even have the ability to charge you. They go through another company. Further proving his web site is deceiving with gross mis advertising. He makes you think he is a real company. WHAT A SCAM! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Check with the Attorney General in Virginia in less than a month and they will have all my evidence on file. I am also going to the BBB and the credit card company. If anyone wants me to send them all my WRITTEN EVIDENCE let me know. I do NOT want anyone to get ripped off like I did from Atomic Arcade and Dave Brown. DO THE RIGHT THING DAVE, refund me my service expenses of $701.00 I had to pay to repair the low quality unit you sold me, also send me the manual you promised me and the $500.00 you also promised me and if you do this I will report that you fixed your mistakes and LIES...if not than may the Lord, the US Government and the power of free speech shut you down for RIPPING US OFF AND HURTING A CHILD! Yep you're right Dave is a con artist.

Make sure you report him to the BBB and the Attorney General. Also to your state's consumer protection agency, so that way if nothing is done, they'll have a track record on him.

Make sure that when you report him stress these points:

* Illegal ROMs
* He has no license to resell other's work (ROMs), nor can he show proof of license.
* If he's in Virginia, and you're in Virginia, Did he charge VA. Sales Tax? If not, report him to the VA Sales Tax Fraud Division, If he did then report him anyway for fraud, charging sales tax on an illegally manufacturered product inside VA.

I can also tell you all the FLASH games he currently hosts on his site is just as Illegal as the ROM's in the game he sold you.

Sue him for $10, 000 per game in the multicade, because he has enabled you to possess illegal content that carries a fine of $10, 000 per ROM.
Which he has no license to do so.

The reason I posted here is I feel for your case, and on the basis of it's a multicade and therefore illegal to sell such machines you're in the right regardless of any details about shipping damages, quality of the machine, or any relationship with the business in question.

I've actually worked for arcade shops who do this on a daily basis. Programming and selling the illegal multicades.

Little do they realize for every multicade they sell with 60 games, that's 59 more games they'll never be able to sell. Destroying the arcade economy, period. Our economy is messed up enough as it is.

I have yet to meet but one person in the so-called 'amusement industry' that wasn't a crook in some form or another.

Also have your credit card company have him produce his license to sell the games with the illegal ROMS in it.

Also if you paid by credit card, I know VISA allows you to charge back up to 18 months.

I know who designs the boards, who sells them and where the main ROMS are coming from and am currently gathering together in a understandable way to present this information to the FBI.

We need regular people like you (the consumer) to complain too. Elsewise it looks like it's just the competition trying to eliminate the other. Know what I mean.

The FBI will help the consumers first!

This place sells hundreds of these things. Which are only fit for illegal purposes.

That board HAS to be programmed with the ROM's (game chips) from other games themselves with special software (from the same place that sells the boards). If so the person that programmed them is the one who actually broke the law. They do not come pre-programmed. They are normally programmed by the seller. They buy the cabinet, the board, load the ROM software and *presto* you get an illegal video game!

It may be a slow-boat getting response from the law enforcement agencies because it is not high on thier list.

EBay has at least several dozen listed even as I type this message. But people with the guts and knowledge have to sign in and report them.

If you think about it, Why would one game company allow thier game to be sold in a cabinet along with thier competitor's games? That fact alone should trigger something in someone's mind.

Plus the 1000's of dollars in licenses that it would cost to legally license the games would put the selling price way, way above the price you paid.

You're fighting a good fight, because you're in the right, don't lose hope.
