false sales
I visited the store on Sunday (march, 29, 2009) to purchase a case and headphones for my phone. While talking to the sales rep., I informed him that I purchased the phone from BestBuy the previous week. The sales ass. began to push me to purchase a bluetooth earpiece stating that i'll gat a $30 rebate. I told the rep. that I do not need an earpiece but he cotinued to push and i purchased the earpiece to later find out that i will not qualify for the rebate because i did not purchase rhe phone from Att. I then discovered on the back of the reciept that if I take the earpiece back, i'll be charged a $20 restocking fee so, I've lost my money and gave this sales rep. commision.

air card service
I have a att air card bought 2/9/09 was not told that I have only 5gig cap on my 60 dollar charge a month : looked on bill online about 3/1/09 and there was not a bit usage amount so I kept using card continually: on today 3/17/09 in the morning I tried to connect was rejected code 718; called att cs this evening (Akram) said over 7 gig was used and will be charged well over a thousand dollar for next bill due ; I will keep you posted on outcome of this...

Endless wait on
I just purchase a phone online with ATT
It was the WORST decision I have ever made in my life

It was a good experience while choosing the phone and my plans and even paying for it
Now that ATT got their money, here comes the endless wait over the phone
As I started calling customer service about my online order after they fail to email me on the status of the product
My wait were over 1 hr listen to a stupid guitar music before I can talk to a live person
The live person in term would transfer me to another department because they don't know what is going on
It's been the worst experience ever

i need to update my complaint. It is very important for me to let everyone know about a billing specialist named ASSUNTA WESBY, she was very helpful, very polite, and even cared enough to tell me that after we disconnected that she would make sure my account was how i had requested. Please ATT praise her, but i would let some of the customer service taking orders for new service maybe take some training from her. all of you out there take the time to do the steps it is worth it if you get the pleasure to speak to her; ASSUNTA WESBY.

I'm so glad that i'm not the only one having trouble with att. I had problems from the beginning promises of when they would show up to connect my service and they were a no show. The biggest problem of all is that when i ordered internet with the agent i told her that i wanted the basic dsl service with no regular telephone line, she said that was possible basic dsl with760kb would be 14.95 amonth with a added 5.00 because i do not have regular phone line with them. Because i am a new customer they had to charge me immediately debiting my checking 50.00 and they also had to debit my checking for 6 months to pay my monthly bill.. Now they tell me that they will debit my checking 42.95 each month because they claim i have the highest speed dsl that they offer.. Please tell me if you agree that sounds like a scam or illegal. att you should be ashamed we normal people cant fight you big dogs especially when you play tricks like that. so so wrong

Warranty issues
I have had AT&T for about a year. For all that time I have paid into the warranty coverage. Recently I lost my phone. They sent me a new one however it wasn't the exact color that I bought. Now I know to some of you this probably isn't a big deal but I feel that I should of gotten the same exact phone that I bought. They told me that I had to deal with whatever they have in stock and that they will do nothing to fix the situation. Is there anything I could do? I am really not happy.

REWARD PROGRAM
I was told to go to ATT.Com/reward ctr. after 21 days to get a $50.00 credit to offset the price of the modem I rec'd when starting up on DSL. I cannot even get into that address, let along rec a credit. This whole ordeal has really been a rip off.

Automatic Renewal Falsified
This company AT&T states that we had an automatic renewal. We did not. We signed up for regular phone / internet service in 2005 when we first opened. We changed nothing since that time. An office in Atlanta, Georgia, claimed they were AT&T (formerly Bell South) and claimed only they were the ones to handle our contract. We contacted AT& T after receiving a phone call to renew the contract for another three years. We told them we were not renewing the contract. We would only deal with month to month. The woman faxed a document saying she needed to have it signed in order to cancel. We signed and then faxed back. She claimed later it did not go through and needed to fax it again. Again we followed directions. Later at the end of this year we called to disconnect. This same agnet /office then claimed they had a renewal. We went through this several times. I then noted why would they have notes on our cancellation if it was automatic. It was noted we were canceling. We now have a large bill from AT&T for $1663.31 A total fabrication. They cancelled the phone line then went on to say the bill is for canceling in advance. Please advise.

Did not receive DSL Rebate
End of Aug I spoke to ATT to order a DSL(Dry loop, no phone). She said that I would be receiving 100$ rebate for starting the connection. That was one of the main reasons I got ATT. A few weeks later I called them to ask about the rebate, they said since its just a couple of week please wait. I thought to myself "Fair enough". A lot of weeks later on Dec 23rd I called them again, she said that somehow the customer representative forgot to send out the rebate and that she will be sending it right away and I will receive it in 4-6 weeks. I asked whats the guarentee that I would be receiving it this time and that you are sending it now. She said that she will send it right away and also gave me a confirmation number, which I can refer to next time I call. Although I was a little angry since it was 4 months already, I still waited.
Today Jan 22nd 2009 I call them again(after waiting for a month). Can you believe what the rebate center said? "We do not have in our records that you are supposed to receive a rebate. Also, you have a dry loop account which does not qualify for a rebate of 50$(forget 100$). We cannot do anything, Sorry." I did not just want to accept sorry and forget about it, she said talk to Customer care, I said that does not make sense because you are the reward center and you should handle. She said she can do nothing. They did not even care about the confirmation number!!!
I really don't care if they actually have a rebate or not...but they should not lie to a customer that there is a 100$ rebate just to get him sign up for the account. That is simply unacceptable. Had she said there is no rebate or anything with the dry loop DSL, I would have either signed up or not depending on the cost. But I signed up because it was cost effective(after the rebate)!
I called up customer care...explained everything again...she said she cant help...i said get me the manager...i explained the manager everything again...she said speak to reward center. WTF WTF WTF !!!
Believe me...I am not going to let this go. After all this definitely not...it is not just about 100$...but it is complete FRAUD! How can they treat customers like this. they are definitely going to lose me...but all the people who I would have recommended ATT.

Any suggestions are welcome.
