Poor Newtork - No action
My wife and I took an iPhone contract last June with ATT. Ever since we took this device and service, or phones have been absolutely unsubale inside our house. I cannot make any calls without the fear of having to face a dropped call. I can confidently say, and that atleast 80% of my calls get dropped. We have been religiously logging the failed calls with the ATT iPhone app. When we contacted ATT we were very conveniently told that ATT is not responsible for call drops inside a residence and that to improve the quality I would have to buy a device for $199 or pay to cut my contract. My phone has been utterly useless and ATT has basically told me I have no choice but to pay as I signed a contract. I feel cheated here as I absolutely expect to able to make calls from my home. I hope you guys can help me out.

Identity Theft
ATT has a policy that they will open an account with no ID required for residential telephone service.
This both supports and promotes fraud.
Recently I found out someone opened an account in my name, in a city I have never even heard of. The account was open for 2 months and and then closed. They dont have my id, an telephone recording of me saying I wanted service, a letter, NOTHING! Yet I am GUILTY unless I can prove I am innocent. I thought this was supposed to be the other way around in America. Additionally, I asked them to put a note on the account that was created in my name to not allow any future connections under My name and social security number. I was told "Im sorry sir, we cannont do that!
So, ATT is a company that will open an account in anyones name, with NO ID required, and hold you liable for any charges incurred and continue to allow this to happen to you without flagging the account. Again They Support and Promote fraud by their own policy. I filed a complaint against ATT with the Federal Trade Commission.

rejects non flattering reviews
I recently purchased an att phone, which I found to be a disappointment. My main disappointment was the fact that the problems I experienced could easily have been solved before the phone was ever released.
Specifically:
The keys are too small. While this is a limitation imposed by the size of the phone, a raised center would make the keys easier to discriminate from one another and would help avoid mistyping.
The menus are convoluted; both att and the phone's manufacturer share the blame here. Cell phones are programmed according to the wishes of the carrier for the most part and att could have, and should have, asked for better menu layout.
Poorly shaped phone; The phone has a backwards curve at the bottom which serves no purpose. It keeps the phone from laying flat on a flat surface and causes it to rock as you are typing on the keypad.
Doesn't allow user to assign their own tone as a message alert; Seriously now. How difficult is that to program in to a phone's feature set ?? Not a big deal in and of itself, it's just lame that would lock the user in to a choice of only 4 silly sounding tones for message alerts.
The above information was what I submitted in my review. I was notified a couple of days later that my review had been rejected. There was no profanity, no insults, no slander, nothing that should have caused them to reject the review, yet they did. Furthermore, when I replied to the email asking for clarification, it was returned as undeliverable.
I wish I could say I was surprised at all this, but sadly I'm not..

DSL Repair service
ATT needs to at least lie uniformly. I spent a good hour and a half being shuffled between Tech support, DSL repair service, and billing. I have nothing wrong to say about tech support. That poor guy actually did conference calls with me through the other departments and you could tell even he was getting a little shocked by the treatment I was getting. The other two were terrible. Let me backtrack to my original problem.
I was charged $80 for a repair service to my house. I did ask for a repair service. The reason I asked was because my internet connection gets sporadic during rain storms and they said it was no problem for someone to look at it. A guy came and attached box that feeds two wires into the main phone box outside of the house to filter out interference. Apparently the box there is quite old and this causes problems. Why this was not fixed when the connection was initially installed I do not know. I do not think this will solve the problem but it has not rained for 20 days after the repair so I can not test it. Keep in mind my connection was fine when the repair man showed up. At no point was I told I would be charged for any work. If I had I would have refused the work because honestly my connection is not that bad and I will not live in this house for much longer.
Then I got the bill and called to inquire why I was charged. At first I was told it was because it was for work done in the house. Not true. This led to a search for the repair ticket to see what work had been done. The repair ticket involved an order number that the repair center did not know what it stood for. This meant going to Tech support to find the notations for the work done. These notations apparently did not describe the work done. This then led back to billing to see what the charges were for and I was told it was for repairing my internet connection that wasn't working. Once the situation was explained he tried to transfer me to Repair again but got disconnected.
Try two. I figured I would try billing again. Met a rather nice person who started looking at my questions but ultimately could not get me an answer because there was no information on the work done. She gave me the number for the Repair center.
At least I was learning, upon getting someone at the Repair center I immediately asked to transferred to the DSL repair center. There I explained my problem in a rather, admittedly, surreptitious manner. I explained that I had a problem with my internet fading out during rainstorms. I then asked would I get charged to have someone look at the problem. She said no as long as it did not require any work in the house. I then told her I had previous work done and if she could tell what had been done. She could not. Therefore, I asked why I was charged for the last repair I had done. She looks further at my repair ticket and from that can not deduce why I was charged and has me hold while she confers with billing. After a wait she gave me an explanation that made my head spin, which if you are still able to follow this article are probably feeling right now. I basically had to have her tell it to me three times. It boiled down to me getting not charged for the work done but for deducing the problem with the connection. Great, despite the fact that no one has any clue what the technician did, let alone what department the technician came from, did the work outside the house which is supposed to be free, worked on the box which probably should have been serviced when the connection was opened, and was never informed that I would be charged, ATT still wants me to pay $80. After, saying that I was immediately transferred to someone else who took the charges from my bill without further argument. Fun times. I figure I will try a different company when I move.

At&T will nickel and dime their customers to get them to pay outrageous fees
I have never added data or internet use to my phone with AT&T and I get my bill from them and noticed the service has been added.
I called them and told them I am not paying for a service I did not authorize.
They tell me I added this service in February 2010. I never access the internet from my phone nor do I take pictures or send pictures with my phone.
What the hell are they talking about. Now they tell me that I am being charged for receiving picture messages. I don't open these. But, yet I am charged.
At&T will nickel and dime their customers to get them to pay outrageous fees.
I am going to leave AT&T and go to Verizon.

ATT has the worst customer service I've ever seen
Please, PLEASE don't buy any of the products from AT&T. On Monday we bought their Internet/Residential service and is now Thursday and we haven't been able to use the line because it's blocked by them.
I've been transferred from 4 to 7 different representatives in a day and nothing has been done.
This is a nightmare, but worst, this is fraud.

ATT terminated my service for no reason
I have ATT pay-as-you-go wireless phone and just re-filled $15 into my account 3 days ago.
When trying to make phone call today, I was told "SIM not provisioned", which means ATT just simply terminated my account without any reason and when I still have $14 balance in it.
I called three different numbers of ATT, all of them are completely automated system, no actual person I could talk to. I logged on to ATT website and found so confusing.
I can't even send an e-mail or leave a message to ATT service team.
This is the worst service I have ever seen. ATT sell things, sell services, and cancels, and terminate service without any reason.
I just dislike ATT so muuuuuuuuch!
