att customers
I work for att and i am so annoyed with these att cust who call up yelling at me and calling me names. I am the only att rep who actually tells the cust the truth yet i get all the bs calls. AND im sick of these cust who call and get mad when they have to repeat their phone number well i am sorry that i didnt get it when you were speaking a 100 words amin so shut the hell up and repaet 10 numbers.

Horrible customer service
Purchased contract throught att store in the Weastfarms Mall in Connecticut for my tv and internet. Was told I had to go with Direct Tv which was fine because they did not have u-verse in my area. When I bought the Direct Tv package I was told if I get the NFL package I would receive free hd for life. I am billed every month $10.00 for HD and they can not seem to fix it.

I also purchased internet, I told them I wanted high speed internet they said it would be $14.95 a month then they told me there was no high speed in my area. That was ok, so they said I had to go with basic internet and it would be cheaper $9.95 a month. My first bill was $47.00 and i paid it. But called to question the charge and they said that is normal there would be up coming months I would not have to pay anything. Next month received a bill for $29.95 and I paid it. Called again they told me I would get a credit never received a credit. Next month another bill for $29.95. I am into there basic Internet for almost $80.00 in two months and will not pay anymore.

I have made five trips to the store, four phone calls, and have spoken to six sales people and four of the store managers with noting resolve in four months. What kind of business is this?

GoPhone
Purchased GoPhone with ATT. Was going to use my existing TMobile phone number. Called their representative. While on the line their representative unregistered by TMobile phone and it went dead. Went to use the ATT GoPhone, it was inactivated. Went to ATT web site and tried to log on to activate, my pin number had been changed. When I would request a new pin they kept sending it to the inactivated GoPhone. I had two dead phones and had to go out and buy a Cricket. You will never reach a human being unless it is in Sales.

ATT has been working me over for yellow pages and YP.com advertising. These guys are really slick and will beat you down until you comply. They completely disrespect you and refuse to answer their questions. they are highly trained to remain in control of the "conversation" (actually a beat down by trained sales reps) and will not give you the information that you ask for. These guys should not be trusted and you will need all of your will to resists their sharpened sales tactics.

Digital Phone service
If you consider using ATT U-verse high speed internet service... don't bother. This is by far my worse experience with the Internet provider yet. AT&T charged me $129 in non-refundable installation fee. After that neither my internet not digital phone was working. After more than 6 hours on phone over two days with technical support and second visit from technician the established internet connection. After 2 weeks from installation date I still do not have digital phone (nor traditional line). Customer service is atrocious they will keep you on line for hours, promise to call back and not to call, not to mention that any time you call you speak with technician who has no clue about your previous conversations and you have to start all over again. If you value your time and peace of mind stay away from ATT.

over charge and horrible customer service
Purchased tv and internet through ATT. Had to take direct tv because u-verse was not in my area, which was fine. Sean the sales person told me if I bought the NFL package I would receive free HD for life which is a extra $10.00 a month. Every bill I have received has had the $10.00 charge.

I also bought internet from ATT which I was told by Sean would be $9.95 because they did not have high speed internet in my area. My first bill was $47.00 so I called Sean and he said this was normal that I would not be billed for up coming months. The next month was billed $29.95. Same thing he said that it would be the last charge. Third bill came in $29.95. I have not and will not pay this bill.
I have spoken to six sales people and four managers and none of them can fix these over charges by ATT. I was also told I was going to get a $40.00 credit from one of the managers two month ago and still have not received it. If you are thinking of going with ATT give it another thought.

warranty
bought a cell phone for my son for Christmas on 11-10-10 got it on 11-15-10
12-16-10 screen started having black spaces in it and blue lines called att informed me that warranty will not cover this due to having physical damage being dropped we assured them it was not . but refused to replace palm pre+ unless their technitions determine that this was not physical damage if they decide that it was due to this .charge of 450.00 would be billed to my account.My son has a palm pre+ for just a few days before it goes out being a touch screen this is disheartning for a working person to swollow. I have done dealings with ATT for
over ten years .But it is about over.

service and contract
Had ATT DSl and landline, with repeated problems. Tech advised to switch to U verse. I switched. Took ALL day to install, one of my bedroom phone jacks no longer works after the install, and my calls drop if the modem on the desk is moved. (faulty wiring). They came out, replaced wiring, but problem still exists. Got billed for ATT Uverse, AND ATT DSL/land lines. After 2 mos - they finally corrrected the billing and oferred me a $15 off to compensate for the problems. Now we are 3 mos later, calls still dropping, internet still BELOW level I pay for, and overall telecom costs $30 more than what I was paying before. Called today to try to cancel. Was told I was sent an email contract on 5/12. Pulled up that folder - no email - requested proof of it sent - no one knows how to do that. After being transferred around, was told I was not in contract in May (hence no email to that effect should have been sent--somebody's lying). But...according to them, I locked into contract when I accepted their $15.00/mo compensation for the previous service/billing problems. Still waiting to HEAR the recorded call where it says I was enterring a contract. Been on with them 3 hrs on this - and now she's tells me no sup is available to play the call for me..but...what do I want them to keep me as a customer. Told them - GET RID OF THE CONTRACT status, and give me flexibility to chose a service that works for me. she claims she did that. we'll see what new charges/fees go on my account in a few days.

Incorrect bill
For 3 months I have been in dispute with ATT about a bill they keep sending me. Each month I call and tell them the amount is wrong. Each time I call they say I am correct the amount is lower than the billed amount. I ask them for a corrected bill and they say a new bill will be sent out when it is generated on the 26th. Each month I have gotten the wrong amount. This month I got no bill but a phone call at 7:15 in the morning. But yet I am not able to call billing before 8:00 am. they need to get their billing part of their service corrected.

Billing scam
I went to ATT to renew my plan and get a new phone. The first phone died on the sales rep right in the store. The second one (same model) died on me the day after.

I went back to the store to exchange. They wanted to charge me a 35! Dollar restocking fee. I started arguing that all the phones have the same problem and I am not willing to pay that. The store manager came out and said he would need to charge the restocking fee but give me a 35 USD credit on my next bill.

I was ok with that.

My bill came in and it was about 20 Dollars higher than usual. I called customer service and they told me that this was an 18 Dollar fee for upgrading to “new” equipment – equipment that died on me and I returned. This fee the sales person “forgot” to talk about. And - the credit that was promised in the store was not on my account.

Also, just as a side note – since we don’t have a texting plan we get charged for every spam message – usually adds for visiting websites. I tried blocking online but that doesn’t work.

In no other country than the US the wireless carriers charge the RECIPIENTS fees for wanted/unwanted calls and sms. And in no other country people just go along with it. Must be the greatest country in the world
