AT&T HAS THE WORST PRICES IN THE INDUSTRY. THEY ALSO, SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH MARKETING COMPANIES WILL CONTACT YOU, CALL YOU, HARASS YOU, AND EVEN BILL YOU EXRA CHARGES.
RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS RATES CAN BE BEAT BY ANY COMPETITOR. NEVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH AT&T. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU, RAISE YOU, YELL AT YOU, HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND EVEN THREATEN TO SUE YOU IF YOU TRY TO CANCEL.

Uverse Service
There are not words to describe how miserable AT&T's phone access customer service is. One is forced to spend 5 minutes navigating an endless stream of automated questions only to be put on hold for another 10 minutes waiting for a live person who can likely not help you anyway. My Uverse internet was turned on to the wrong phone number (a phone number not connected to me or my address in anyway). After nearly 5 hours of battling through various incompetent departments to try to fix the problem and getting hopelessly mired in "transfers to someone who can help" (not to mention dropped calls using the crack ATT wireless network), I finally gave up and cancelled the whole thing. Now I have a bill for $100 for a rented modem that I returned using the PROVIDED return mailing sticker and am stuck with another round of calls through the automated labrynth to get that removed. The whole experience has been so wretched we're planning to switch our wireless service to Verizon and not do business with AT&T again. Aweful.

No Service for almost 3 months
Has anyone see that advertisement yet about AT@T's new service for $14.95 a month ? Stand Alone DSL. The service is nothing new actually, it was requirement mandated for them by the FCC after aquiring SBC Global. Problem is they didn't want customers to have so they didn't actually start advertising it until now. I have had the service before in 2007 and it took me the this same ringer to get, but then it was new so I chalked it up to that. Now after seeing the recent marketing promotions and adverts, I decided to take them up again on it, and see if they could connect me . Here is what happended which was almost a repeat of the exact same thing in 2007 when trying to establish dsl service.
Still waiting for dsl service in New Oleans metro neighborhood. Original Date was given from online order of 8/12/2010. Around the 13th I eagerly hooked up my modem, and no dsl sync . I remoted in to modem to look at log file, no dsl sync ( IE no service), checked pots line outside, not syc from test jack outside house ( this is the MPOE to the house so as any dsl tech would tell you, that means no service). I called for about a week straight 24-30 calls, seriously ! Each call round 1-2hours of explaining the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, and they kept insisting it was a problem with my modem ect, even thought I myself am a dsl tech and have proven this was not the case. Finally they did a test after the 24th call and verified just as I had said that there was no sync to my line. I was then given a new date of 8/24 because they had to do some work in my area. That date came and went and repeated the same incident of me calling and explaining the same thing over and over and over to about 24-25 different people from Inda. and finally, they sent an ATT tech out who wanted to come inside and look at my modem ! I directed him outside to the pots line and he hooked up his laptop to the test jack and confirmed, yes you guessed it ! NO FU**ING sync ! !!!And these jerks were going to bill me for this !!!When the problem was clearly on their side !!! So then I was told by this tech that they would make repairs on ATT side and I would be notified when DSL was available at my location and I could connect my modem . Well its now 10/03/2010, I have been calling about every few days or so, and nothign is still being done . This is ridiculous . If it wasnt for cable internet I would have been out of service for almost 2 months. ATT is the worst most horrible serice, their Iphones are overmarketing garbage their service is beyone unreasonably horrible, their techs are newbies without a clue, they should just die out and let real ISP's come in an take over the DSL market, so people can actually get service.

Horrible customer service
ITS A NIGHTMARE IF YOU TRY TO MAKE CHANGES IN YOUR DSL ACCOUNT AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO BUY U-VERSE. IN THIS CITY ATT IS THE SOLE PROVIDER OF DSL, WE USED TO HAVE INTERNET WITH VERIZON, WE STILL MISSED THEM.

DSL nightmare
DSL service started going out in July. Spent hours on the phone with customer tech and they sent three technicians out. Still not fixed and I get a bill with an 85.00 charge for repair work.

One month later, still no internet and hours spent on phone with customer service and missed work. I cancelled out of frustration. I received another bill, called them and they insisted I never cancelled.

Lesson: Get a confirmation number beginning with a "D" from the rep if you cancel. Otherwise, they will keep your account active and you'll have to go through the entire process again.

I will never do business with ATT ...EVER. Nothing but headaches.

Had me waiting for weeks to get a phone
I called at&t and they kept giving me the run around about a transfer in service. I called 9 times and kept getting transfered so much each time I hung up. They had me on the phone for at least an hour and a half each time. Needles to say I got so frustrated dealing with this company that I just said forget it and cancelled my services. I told all my family and friends and most cancelled services with them. Big companies have no respect for the consumer, although we the consumer make them who they are. If you have had problems like this maybe you too should consider another provider. Its your hard earned money, you deserve respect when you spend it.

Lack of service
Trying to get phone replaced by AT&T after it was stolen. Wanted a replacement for what I had (3 GS 16 gb). Told I had to upgrade iPhone 4. NO iPhones available in the Cape Girardeau, MO store although was told some phones would be available on Tuesday. Told I would be called at 9:00. at 11:00, I tried to call the local store. No answer...for 45 minutes! Finally left work to go to their location. Was told they were "busy" which would have been easier to believe had I not spotted 3 technicians taking some type of break out by the dumpster behind their building.

The website of AT&T to talk to a real, live person is next to impossible. Had a poor experience along the same lines back in July when DISH Network was installed by AT&T resulting in wrong equipment being installed and 14 different phone calls over two days being made.

I have only been on AT&T cell phone since the end of May, and I already been through 3 phones totaling over $172 plus dollars. First one had a cracked screen. They would not fix it. Second one blew up in the same month, and the one I have now likes to jump to the top of the screen during txtes. I spoke to a lady at AT&T and she tells me that we are not Verizon when I told her what they did for me. You don't tell new customers that.


Not to mention that it takes 4 to 7 times to get one call through no matter what hour of the day. For a company that gets the money you do. In Jesus name, You should know better.

Quality not quantity is what you go for always. Un happy people means no money for the company. Fix your service issues. Wrong time in the history of this land to be screwing up so bad.


Then: you can't even use the email because it is not for Go phone people. Verizon is a very nasty company, but I never had a problem with their phone in all of the years that I was with them.


September, I am going back to what worked for me.

Very Poor Service
I have had cell phone service with AT&T for a couple of years. In this time, I have never been able to make or receive calls on my phone on a consistent basis. I know part of the issue is the house itself. It is somewhat of a dead zone, for AT&T that is. Other friends, family and people in general CAN make and receive calls without a problem. Specifically Sprint and T-Mobile are two services that get reception regardless of the quality of phone that they are using.

If I want to talk on the phone without fear of the call dropping or not even going through, then I have to leave the house, go through the garage and down the driveway and sometimes into the street in order to TALK.

The LG Xenon has been removed from the market after being out less than a year, and AT&T wants to replace mine with a REFURBISHED Xenon. Okay, the phone didn't work when it was new and you want to replace it with one that has known issues. I said no, so they sent me a Samsung Sunburst, that did allow me to hear other people but they couldn't hear me. It would also redo my settings, without being told to do so. But ultimately what my complaint about is the fact that AT&T finally replaced my phone with a product that would probably have worked, I can't know for sure, because they did not send the back to the phone, a battery, or a battery charger. When I contacted them, they told me I wasn't eligible for the complete phone, if I wanted a complete phone, then I would have to take the REFURBISHED XENON.

I am so disappointed in AT&T. I do not expect anything to happen, after all if they cared about their customers they wouldn't have treated me this way. I just wanted someone else to know how shabbily they treat people who have no platform.
