ATT
BEWARE...I WOULD STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM AT&T. I WAS ON THE PHONE FOUR HOURS ONE NIGHT WITH THEM. AND TALK ABOUT GIVING YOU THE RUN AROUND, WOW! AND I CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I HAD TO CALL FOR MY REBATE, OF COURSE THEY GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND FOR THAT ALSO! EVERY TIME YOU TALK TO SOMEONE THEY GIVE YOU A DIFFERENT ANSWER. I WAS EVEN TOLD I WAS IN A CONTRACT. I TOLD THEM I DON'T THINK SO!!! THEY MAY SOUND LIKE THEY ARE GIVING YOU ALL THESE GREAT DEALS, BUT TRUST ME DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THEY ARE SAYING! BEEN THERE DONE THAT///WONT GO BACK IF THEY GAVE ME SERVICE FOR FREE!

Bundled Services
In December 2008, ATT promised bundled service for $98. The bundle included internet, phone with long distance, and a two year contract with DISH Network. EVERY month I have to call to get the bill corrected because of over charges ranging from $30 to $300. Now, they won't take off the over charges, but they won't release me from the two year contract with DISH. If you are a victim of this scam, call FTC at (877)382-4357, FCC at (888)225-5322, State Consumer Protection Agency (Attorney General) at (800)869-1123 or (404)651-8600, AND the AJC at (404)526-7003.

Worst customer service
ATT used to be my favorite phone/internet/cable company until recently. After 3 weeks constant attempts and 3 days I had to *** for their technician to show up (all but one failed), I still don't have phone service at my new address.

Last technician showed up late, stayed more than 3 hours and told me my phone will be fully operational yesterday. It was not.

Customer service representative right now can not even pull up my number or find account number now. I feel I talk to a 10 year old child. I asked for manager - she will not connect me to one, I asked for her name - she will not give me her full name, but a code.

I don't know what to do. I just want to talk to someone competent enough who understands the problem at least and connect me to adequate technician. I will never recommend this service anymore to anybody. It is hard to change phone company but I feel it is the time to find I new one. Do NOT choose ATT, please.

Slams & Refunds
I have a mentally retarded older brother who we maintain next door. I pay his bills. According to ATT, he went online and subscribed for NetFlix Streaming on his phone account. He supposedly used my E-Mail address. The friendly ladies I talked to at ATT assured me that his online application was correct and generated from him. When I insisted that he cannot type, does not read well, does not have a computer, and does not know my E-Mail address, they were extremely gracious and kind and kept insisting that he did apply. I cancelled the feature and was told by a very friendly and courteous representative that it would take one to two months to get the refund. No refund was ever provided so I called again today. After I had given the very nice lady my name and info she immediately, without prompt, told me she saw the problem about my refund and it was because the previous very nice person failed to check the box which would have generated the payment. And she immediately corrected the problem and asked if there was anything else she could do to make my life even better. I demanded to talk to a supervisor who was also a very nice lady. She also concurred that my retarded brothers application was received correctly and she didnt seem to have a problem with his retardation. I told her I thought he got slammed wherein she claimed she didnt know what that meant. Now I have to wait again for my 1 to 2 months to equal 3 to 4 months to get the refund. It seems a shame that all the wonderful, kind, and helpful people at ATT have to work so hard to prop up a mindless company.

Scam
Text notification messages sent from ATT to customers are free; however if your phone is outside the coverage text messages are charged. When notifications are made over phone the call is not charged. Why text messages are charged?

According to Customer Service they cannot do anything about it and customer are forced to pay for these received text messages.

Loss of roll over minutes
I would like the public to know that anyone who signs up with an ATT cellular plan, whether single or family, and then upgrades or downgrades their plan will lose ALL their accumulated roll over minutes and it is capped at the new phone plan maximum minutes. I had accumulated 2500 rollover minutes between June, 2009 and early April this year and when I upgraded from the 500 minute family plan to the 700 minute family plan, I lost 2500-700 = 1800 minutes. I now have a new rollover balance of 700 minutes which they let me keep because my new and "improved" family plan is for 700 minutes.

I would recommend you never sign up with ATT cellular or never upgrade nor downgrade your plan if you want to keep your rollover minutes.

These guys get you coming and going.

false information
I recently switched my service to at&t(big mistake)to save money or so I thought. I spoke with a rep. and was told that this service would be right for me and since I was switching I would recieve $200 in gift cards for bundling and inconvience. As of 4-19 when I called to check the status of cards I had not been bundled like I had requested nor had I been sent the gift cards. I was told it was because I didnt set up home phone service. My question was why wasn't I told this when I signed up. I was completely lied to in order to get me to switch my service(that I was very happy with). I am still waitng on the call back to see if they are going to do anything about this matter.
