Pump and Dump Scam
This place has limited parking for customers also when browsing cars the space is very limited. Barely open a car door without hitting next. Their building is a small one room shack so very little privacy to discuss your purchase and personal information. The cars themselves are poorly maintained they had to jump start the car just for the test drive. The people appear friendly at first but after your purchase they either avoid you completly or are borderline rude. When our car had problems we returned to question them about the cars history they made it clear that they weren't going to help us in anyway. Basically they told us the car was bought "as is" and that was that. Overall I would not recommend this place for anyone. Even if the car is used it should not break down literly a day after purchase. This would not upset us as much if the people made any attempt to help rectify the situation.

Liars
we had some debt issues and like other people out there saw a good ad and talked to a friendly car dealer named RAY. We arrived and looked at a few cars saw there "mechanics" and ended up taking a honda accord 1997 for a spin and bought the car at $2, 995. We paid a down payment of $700.00 down, we also promised to pay AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER WA. another $1, 000 within a month which wasn't a problem we needed a car and we both have god jobs. They were so friendly and told us that if the car broke down or anything happened to personally come see "RAY" and he would take care of it. No questions asked. We signed away on good faith that what RAY and the head manager had promised and said about the car was true. First mistake AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS OUR SCAMMERS LIARS AND CHEATS. THERE EMPLOYEES AND MANAGEMENT took advantage of a first time buyer. We were told that a branded title meant someone had lost the title at one point. AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS LIED, IMAGINE THAT? SOUNDS LIKE FRAUD TO ME. Then came the AS IS CONTRACT not knowing what that mean, AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER EXPLAINED IT TO US. It means we understand that the car has had some previous damage to the body. I said oh that's all it means? AND THE HEAD MANAGER ROBERT OF AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER LIED AGAIN IMAGINE THAT... After we signed the contract and were headed out the door the head manager OF AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER said if it explodes on the way home roast a hot dog to get some of your money out of it. Thinking it was a joke, I smirked it off. We had to get home, my husband had to be at work so we got on the freeway and about 35 minutes later it starts to steam out of the AC vents. We immediately went home parked it, took my husband to work, and called AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER AND IMAGINE THAT ROBERT AND RAY ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. I drive the car the next day to A HONDA MECHANIC and found out it has a bad heater core, and the motor is going. Which is really funny cause RAY promised such a great running car it had a rebuilt motor and transmission. NO IT DIDN'T... I TOOK IT TO A HONDA MECHANIC. THE CAR IS A PILE. So I keep trying to get a hold of AUSTINS AFFORDABLe AUTOS IN VANCOUVER when I finally get an answer they offer to fix the car if I put another $500.00 on a car that is going bad. I asked if I could switch this car for another car? The answer from the manager was NO WE CANT DO THAT. So thinking I am just going to have to live and learn. I drive the car home and try to budget a way to fix the car. Then to top it off the car wont start the next day. So my husband calls and talks to the HEAD MANAGER 'ROBERT' OF AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS and asks can we push one of the $500.00 down payments back so we can get this car fixed? The response was screaming at my husband that its not his problem and we need to pay for it or get it repossed. My husband couldn't even get a word in but finally got the words come get it out. SURPRISED YET? THEN AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER HANG UP ON MY HUSBAND. Then Ray calls us trying to cut us a deal only pay half of the 500.00 and the 350.00 first payment so you can fix the ca? HE MUST OF THOUGHT HE WAS DOING US A FAVOR THE CARE DOESN'T RUN. DON'T YOU THINK YOU'VE DONE US ENOUGH FAVORS? WE ASKED FOR A WARRANTY THE DAY AFTER WE GOT HOME. BOTTOM LINE IS AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS ARE ALL LIARS AND CHEATS. THEY SCAMMED US INTO A CAR AND OUT OF MONEY AND REFUSE TO GIVE US OUR 700.00 BACK. IF YOU'VE HAD A "LOVELY" EXPERIENCE WITH AUSTINS AFFORDABLE AUTOS IN VANCOUVER THEN SEND ME YOUR STORY AND I WILL GET IT PUBLISHED AND IT WILL BE HEARD..

Ripped off
1 year ago I signed an 18 month contract at Austins Auto's on a 2000 Jeep cherokee, The initial buying experience was a nightmare, The staff at Austins (including the owner) ALL appear to have some sort of either mental or drug problem, Or who knows, maybe both! However obviously I had no choice but to buy there considering my credit was less than perfect. The sticker price on My Jeep was $4, 500 I put $1, 500 down, and the same day I bought it I had to put it in the shop because it wouldn't make it off the lot! it was a fairly minor repair to make this vehicle run, so I agreed to pay for it so now in order to drive this vehicle off the lot i have put $1, 700 into this Jeep! That was hardly the end of repairs! the first 2 weeks into this Jeep I replaced The head gasgits, The heads, the breaks, the rotors, 4 new tires, shock towers, shocks... the list go's on... So it has been 1 year now and I have missed not 1 payment! I notified Austins that my payment would be 5 days late, And Austins said that was no problem at all, Just be prepared to pay there oh so ridiculous $20 per day late fee! so as irratated as i was that after being such a patient loyal customer I Was being treated like this, I had no choice but to agree. THEN 3 days before the day we had arranged my payment to be made Austins REPOES my car! Mind you at this point I have only 5 payments left on this jeep and thousands into it! when the repoe man shows up I was on my way to get my children from school, and they go to school out of district so it takes me nearly one hour to get to them! I was sure that there must have been some mistake! So I called to ask why they sent repoe people when they knew I had made arrangments? The WT So called "manager on duty" wile Mr. Austin was behind bars again, Litterly Laughed! and said "it happens to be my legal right!" I was utterly shocked! I was not even a week late! AND i made arangments with them! i started crying, not knowing how I was going to get my kids! I begged the lady to at least let me get my kids. She said in a very snoty voice " it's not my job to care about kids!" So needless to say My husband and I were LIVID! and we went to the dealership the very next day and said we have had it with this dealership and we want a payoff amount on the vehicle, the payoff we were givin was consistent with our records. When we came in to talk with the Mr. Austin and offer the funds, he DENIED payment and said there must be some confusion we actually owe $3, 500!!! Now tell me how that happens when 1 year ago the sticker price was $4, 500 and we haven't missed 1 payment?! Mr. Austin blantently told us his house is in reposession and anyone who is even 1 day late is getting repoed! and apparently having a couple thousand dollars added to their contract as well! Our Jeep now sits on the Lot with a sticker price on it for $5, 999! this is the THIRD time they have repoed that Jeep from a customer who was close to paying it off! ( I know that because my brother use to work there!) needless to say My husband and I are taking the money we were going to use for the pay off and getting an attorney! So that is how they keep a inventory! they wait for you to be 1 day late then they repoe your car! BE CAREFULL DON'T THROW YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AWAY AT AUSTINS! WE WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING THE NEWS AND WE ARE IN THE WORKS OF FORMING A VERY LARGE PICITING GROUP! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!! :) MR. AUSTIN YOU HAVE RIPPED OFF THE WRONG PEOPLE THIS TIME MY FRIEND! PEOPLE MIGHT LIKE TO TAKE IT IN THE ASS IN THE JOINT, BUT WE CIVILIANS DON'T TAKE IT LIKE THAT!

Dishonest
I must say I have had a completely different experience than these other reviewers. I have never in my life been so mistreated. The service started out good, where it seemed like they were willing to go out of their way for me; they dropped the price of the car and he ever met me in a more convenient spot. However, than the lying started. They said that the vehicle was in perfect condition, it was not. The biggest thing it was a missing drive shaft. After calling about it after I bought it, they said "After driving the car for 5 minutes you know more about than we do." That was an actual quote. If you don't know anything about cars, sell something else or do some research. He also said he could send me the title because I live in another state. After calling about it he said that is not at all true and he said "You cannot trick me into mailing it to you." I am not trying to trick anyone but I would like my title. He also conveniently forgot to mention their is a 3% charge for paying my phone. I am in customer service, so I know how to be treated. I would have been fired on the spot if I ever treated a customer as I was treated. They also said because they sell more cars than most car dealers they "don't have time to deal with people." Next time I would rather pay more and find someone who is willing to provide customer service.

When I first came to the lot I made it clear that i needed help because my car was stolen the day before and i needed something to get me to and from work. The salesman that barely spoke English tried getting me into this Ford Explorer that they had to jump start to get running and then it kept dying and would not idle the way it should. I then told them that I did not want an Explorer because i've owned one before and had nothing but bad experiences with it. I even checked the oil and it looked milky which tells me that it had a blown head gasket. They still tried selling it to me and would not let up. Finally I test drove this 4-runner, it drove off the lot just fine and i liked it for the price. I was driving home from work 2 days later and threw a rod through the block, the engine started smoking and i had to pay to tow it home. I now have a repo on my credit to say the least. I would not reccomend these guys to anyone. They are the definition of a high pressure lemon lot.
Pros: They got me in a car the same day
Cons: It was a lemon and they did nothing to work with me after that

They promise me that I would not be driving home with a non working car?. and that is exactly what had happen. At first it drove really well on the test drive (but we couldn?t get far because it was just about out of gas and they did not want to fill it up before the test drive) but it drove good and looked go so we bought it. But after we bought it, it just so happens that it broke down not even a block away from the lot! They came and helped us out and fixed the problem (thanks for that) but then it broke down again before getting home. When I called them the next day they just kept telling me that there was nothing we can do about it and to call back tomorrow! The fat lady at the desk is no help and is very rude and to call me ignorant and selfish!!! I tried to explain that I?m not trying to be selfish but I just bought this car yesterday and I can?t even drive it! And all she had to say is to call back tomorrow!!! I took it to the shop and the supercharger went out on it and that it would be $1, 500-$2, 000 to fix (I paid $2, 700 for the car itself). Also its leaking antifreeze from the radiator and that would be $300-$500 to fix. When I called back the 2nd day and told them what happen, he told me there was nothing they can do about it, and I bought it as is. The guy who sold the car just kept saying, ?It?s good, it?s good. It drives good, good car, good car?!!! I swear that is all the he knew how to say! Let me save you guys!!! Do not buy a car from them unless you go on a good 15 minute test drive! Buy a care form the bigger lots (and the bigger used lots). They don?t try to rip you off and they really want to get read of those cars and will defiantly choose a lower rate and a better quality car for you. DO NOT GO (DO NOT TRUST) AUSTIN?S AFFORDABLE AUTOS!!!
Pros: ? Nice when you first walk up
