plastic surgery
Not so long ago, our medical boards were state statutory authorities. They have now become "one"- The Australian Medical Board. The Victorian Medical Practitioners Board, and NOW The Australian Medical Board, state that GP's with extra cosmetic training must make this clear, and not "trick" the public into thinking they are fully trained plastic/reconstructive surgeons, qualified to reconstruct car accident victims, and therefore much more likely to be "safe" when it comes to cutting women (and some men) for the purposes of beauty. However, in Melbourne a young woman died from liposuction at the hands of Dr. Dieu-, and another young mother of five is permanently and severely mutilated due to Dr. Morris Ritz from The Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery. Both the family of the dead woman, and the mutilated woman have been vindicated by the legal system, which found malpractice and severe negligence in BOTH cases- However the Australian Medical Board- which was, at the time of these tragic events, the Victorian Medical Board, has done NOTHING- NOT ONE THING - No Investigation- NOTHING- Instead, they spend their time bringing less qualified doctors in aesthetic surgery before them, for far less serious matters. The Australian Medical Board, and its predesessor, The Victorain Medical Board, are giving a VERY CLEAR message to Australian women. As long as he has the highest qualifications, a plastic surgeon can kill or mutilate women! That's really charming, isn't it? Shouldn't these men be MORE accountable than their "less" qualified colleagues? After all, when they make mistakes, they appear to have life threatening consequences, rather than mere "beauty" concerns. Maybe someone at our antiquated Australian Medical Board, with its almost medieval attitude to women's rights over their bodies, will stand up and listen, when a man loses his penis at the hands of one of their "highly" qualified plastic/reconstructive surgeons !
