I am beyond outrage at the poor customer service I received from your Auto Connection yesterday around 5:40 pm – 7:00 pm. Their Cashier didn’t represent Michael Wayne Investment in a professional and courteous manner.
I verbally authorized a payment of $190.00 however; the Cashier took it upon herself to run my debit card through twice taking $199.87 out of my account. This is consider fraud and against the law. Instead of owning up the fact that my card account number was submitted twice my bank was blamed. It was stated I needed to talk to my bank because I didn’t have enough money in my account and they only received $9.97. How would the cashier know to take this exact amount out of my account unless after running the initial $190.00 she saw I had a balance of $9.97 left and she input this amount to take out of my account? If there were insufficient fund the card declines the payment and not submit any other amount in lieu of the initial payment. The amount $9.97 may not be a lot of money to you but that was all the money I had left for food until Thursday.
When I explained this to her she was un-sympathetic to my situation and refused to correct her error. Please note this is not the first time an unauthorized charge have been taken from my debt card. On September 2008, I discovered this happen when the cashier took an additional $120 from my Wachovia Card along with my payment of $226.80. Please note the first time this happen I had to report it as fraud to Wachovia Bank and thought it was a simple mistake on the cashier part. However, this is a pattern this is not building trust. As a customer I don’t feel safe giving my debit and credit numbers over the phone especially since your worker willingly broke the law by committing a blatant fraudulent act. Despite the fact my bank confirmed what the cashier did over the phone when the rep from bank talked to her the cashier still refused to acknowledge her mistake, apologize or refund the unauthorized charge or stick to the agreement I had established with Mr. Yarbrough.
I am very angry and wish to be refund $16.00 the charge my bank charged me to get this mess fixed caused by Michael Wayne Investments and the $9.97 for the charge that I didn’t authorize (By not funding the $9.97 back to my account you are keeping an unauthorized charge). But most of all an apology. I never ever call Auto Connection authorizing a payment with full or partial knowledge that I didn’t have adequate funds to cover the charge. I always call my bank beforehand. So I know the funds were in my account. I know on yesterday before I called Auto Connection there was enough to cover the charge of $190.00.
PLEASE IF YOU EVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM NEVER MAKE YOUR PAYMENT USING A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD.
