fraudelant representation
I was contacted by this company after I posted my vehicle for sale on Cars.com. They told me they had buyers in my area that listed their price range in the same range that I had my listed my vehicle for. They told me that if I paid them 149 dollars there was a good chance that the vehicle would be "sold by the weekend". I never got one call. I should have known when I tried to post my pictures and it would only take one when it said it would accept up to 6. My fiance told me not to, but I was/am desperate to sell my vehicle and I got scammed. I am gonna try to get a refund for the false pretenses, but I am sure they will fight it and I wont get anything. I am posting this to warn others not to fall into this trap.

RIP OFF
Reading all the complaints now. It is too late, because I alredy paid them. For services that I never ever received.
It is not fair that these people play with our needs. I was desperate to sell my van, and I put it on autotrader. com, so the next day I received a phone call from this place, saying they could help me to sell it sooner that autotrader. So, I went for it. I was so excited. But after reading all of these complaints I got so dissapointed of myself, because I always check, before having business with someone. But I really needed to sell my car, so I did not even think about it.
I already filled a complaint with the Better Bussiness Bureau, the Attorney General in IL, and also this other place that I found very very helpful.
I am going to ask you guys to EVERYONE, to not STOP HERE. PLEASE TAKE ACTION AND REPORT THEM. I do not understand how come this place is still in business. I just cant.
We need to do SOMETHING.
I am going to leave the link and please file a report with them as well.

Refund is a Scam
We put our vehicle up on Auto Trader. Auto Marketing Systems got our information from this website. They contacted via phone stating that they would sell our vehicle within 90 days for $249. If they did not sell our vehicle within the 90 days for our asking price, we would be refunded $219. We were skeptical at first, but thought "why not, we get our money back and are only out $30". We never got one call on our vehicle and filled out the necessary paperwork to get our refund. We had to follow the fine print maticulously and made sure and followed all of the Auto Marketing System rules. We were due our refund no later than December 3, 2010. After 14 phone calls and 2 certified letters sent to the company between December 3 and February 1, 2011 and a series of excuses, I decided to contact the Attorney General in Virginia (company's residence) and Pennsylvania (our residence). Virginia Attorney General office did nothing to help, but the Pennyslvania Atorney General came to our rescue. They contacted Auto Marketing Systems threatening state litigation if our money was not refunded. On February 24, 2001, we finally received our refund and an apology letter from Auo Marketing Systems saying something like "we apologize for your inconvenience, we clearly dropped the ball, we are looking into making our system better to ensure this doesn't happen again". It was a terrible experience and a headache the entire way. I am happy to have my refund and hope my complaint is taken seriously.

Warranty Scam
I read the complaints about this company being slow on paying back on its guarantee. That is an understatement. I would definitely steer away from this company. They did not deliver one lead and have been delaying my refund for over 6 months. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS!!!

SCAM - THEY DONT MOVE A FINGER TO SELL YOUR CAR
During the month of December 2010, my husband and I took the hard decision to sell his car. We needed the money to go on a trip abroad to take care of some important business. Well I posted my car AD on craigslist. A few days later I get a call I didnt pick up on time so I got a voicemail. The person said he saw my car and they had some interested buyers. I called back and inquired about him. He was not available so someone else started helping me. She got so many details on the car and I asked lots of questions. Unfortunately yes I got their services, all I ever got was a letter and that is it. Not one inquiry, NOT ONE offer, they just took my money and didnt move a finger to carry out the services they promised. The fee is nonrefundable and they make sure to never call you and never follow up about the car.

SCAM in H.B, C.A
The Auto Marketing Systems company is ripping people off! I listed my car on craigslist and received a call from AMS. They rep was very pleasant and said that they had helped many people sell their cars successfully. She also said that they had customers interested in a car like mine. I went for the $149.00 deal, which gives AMS an unlimited time to sell your car. They would put the customers in touch with me and I would be able to sell my car for the asking price (no hagglers). They would also call me in 2 weeks to check in with me. Well, I had to call them. One: after 2 weeks I had NOT received a single call from any "interested cutomers". Two: they did not call me like they said they would. The 2nd rep that I spoke with acted surprised that I hadn't received any calls about the car, because as she said after looking at my ad with them, "it was a really good deal". She claimed that she would move my ad up or re-enter it and claimed that I would get a response. Well it's been a month since the ad was posted and I still haven't recieved ANY calls from those "interested customers". I wish I had stuck it out on craigslist (I did get calls and emails from people off of craigslist right after I posted, but they were trying to haggle me down on the asking price). The only reason I decided to go with AMS was because I needed to sell my car quickly and for the asking price. I am on disability and lost my job, so I can't afford the payments. I even told both reps the reason why I was selling the car! This is a rotten company that is taking advantage of people. $149.00 might not be a lot of money to some, but it is for me right now. I still have to sell my car and I am out $149.00! After reading many other complaints like mine, I feel that we should ban together and file a class action lawsuit against this company. We should take back what they ripped off from us! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! I will be calling another unstaisfied AMS customer, who mentions the idea of sueing AMS in her complaint. I ask others to come forward and join us! Contact me @ veronicamorecraft@ yahoo.com

Scam
Hi my name is Eric and I bought this service for my 2007 Kawasaki Ninja650r motorcycle October 1. I paid $149 for this service. I have not received one single phone call/text/e-mail about my motorcycle. I placed 3 good photos online immediately. I have no idea what my money was put for I tried looking for my bike in classifieds, all over the internet, and could not find it. It has been 90 days and they have done nothing for me. Yes I purchased the less expensive one that does not have a money back guarantee, but still my money has been put towards a service that has not been fulfilled! Yes I have been scammed, shame on you! And shame on me for "falling for it." My customer ID for this AMS is 543945.

fraudulent money back guarantee
I have been robbed outright by Auto Marketing Systems, a company known as Longwood industries. There are many complaints against them. The UTUBE videos are effective representations. I gave them $249. They made no effort to sell the car and didn't fulfill the money back guarrantee. Some of the many who are being ripped off may have difficulty fulfilling all of the requirements to get their money back, but I did. I got the photo, I sold the car for less than the reasonable price advertised, waited the 90 days required, I went to a notory the following day, completed their cancellation form, and mailed it to them certified signed receipt. They did not return any money to me. I called after 30 days. They said they had 30 business days. I called after 45 days, they said it would be in the next batch. I called after 56 days and they said the manager was out due to a death and hung up the phone on me when I said they were lying. This is clearly fraud and they should face the many people whom they have robbed. I believe a class action suit is appropriate and would be willing to take the next step to start one. Contact me at 802-735-6742.

fraud
This is a total scam, i got contacted by them about a month ago and i signed up for their service without knowing anything about them, for my good luck my credit card was declined at the time of the transaction, then they kept calling me to see if i still wanted the service and i said NO i already sold my vehicle and i told the lady that i did some research and found that it was a total fraud then the lady tried to defend the stupid company by saying it was all good. After a week or so got a call for self called Manager and when i said that i sold my vehicle already he just hanged up on me...long story short just to realize that after 2 weeks or so they tried to do the same $249 charge in my account without my permission and my card was charged!!! i was sooooo upset i called them and i asked them why in the hell they did this unauthorized charge in my card and they told me it was a mistake and i was going to get my money back within 3 days...is been more than a week now and every time i call they said that the charge has been cleared form their records so i ask them how in the hell is not in my card yet..so i didnt wanted to wait for this pieces of crap to take action and i call my bank right away and dispute the charge as a fraud and they gave me my money back ...very bad experience taking in consideration that that money was for my daughters school.
Never make business with this sharks...and for you MR. Russel go fuck yourself!!!

refund
My husband was contacted after he put an ad on Autotrader. He though it sounded good, so he gave the lady his CC. He called and told me about it, and I was leary, so I checked them out online, and WOW. Nothing but complaints. I had him call and cancel within 4 hours, and they said they would refund the $. Turns out even though they never did anyhitng, they only refunded the $220.00 not the $249.00. That is the refund amount if you use their "service" but we never used it. I called & tried to get the other $29 back, but no dice. I will now be filing a chargeback on my CC, and contacting the BBB & the VA Attorney General.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR CC!!!
