Horrible Customer service (KRISTA)
This is the biggest Scam Ever! I signed up with these guys a month ago and didn't recieve one call from anyone to buy my car. I ended up selling it myself. I was told that if I sell it on my own they would refund my money immediately. I called them today to get my money back and they say I have to wait the full 90 days to get my money back. I was not told this at all. I was told I would get it right back. The customer service representative was horrible and very rude. Her name was Krista and she wouldn't even transfer me to the salesman who sold it to me or her supervisor. How horrible is that. I would never buy anything from them just because of her! Poor Company with poor customer service!

100% SCAM. Beware
This is the most deceptive and fraudulant company that I have ever dealt with and I'm 56 years old. The PR and phone calls prior to signing were almost word for word what the others have said. "We've got buyers looking for that year and model" and "Oh that's the correct price." After the signup comes dead silence - not a single call, email or anything. I was very skeptical, but my spouse was certain that the voice on the other end was sincere. The voice probably learned to sound sincere by working one of the "900" numbers as a "friend". I get 2 or 3 phone calls every time I re-post on Craig's list, but have received zero, nada, zilch, etc., from these people. In addition to the 200 dollars, which it sounds like I'll never see again, I wasted time sending photos and doing a write up for these crooks. I guess that I will further debase myself, by getting the cancellation notarized, etc. and mailed, only to hopelessly wait for my refund like the rest of my comarades in guilibility. Don't be fooled by the sincerity. The only difference between these folks and someone stealing your debit card is that you handed it to them and they only hit you for what you authorized. Don't let yourself (or your spouse) be fooled.

Scam
A big SCAM! An individual left a message in my voice mail on 19 March 2010 at 9:10 am from the company called Brad. He stated that he has tried to contact me few times about my vehicle. When I called the company, I was informed that they have interested buyers that my asking price was very reasonable and they could guarantee me that amount since they deal with people how were pre-qualified financially.
She informed me that once I sign up for the program, I will start receiving email from the interesting parties within 24 hours and I should deal with them directly. Since they do not get involve in the sale process. It sound very convincing to me and I went for it.
I paid 249.00 dollars with the 90 days return policy because it offers the opportunity to get the money back even though I sell my vehicle for less. WOW, what a great deal!
Few dates later, I called back and inquired about the interested peoples emails and I get all kind of excuses from AMS and I request my money back. From that point forward, I realized that I have been ripped-off by AMS.

Over promise and under deliver
I was contacted by Linda (I believe) approximately 8 weeks ago. She stated that with my type of car (2008 Mini Cooper S w/12500 mi) and asking price (22K), they could guarantee it would be sold in 3 weeks. I waited a few weeks and was contacted again.
When Linda and I spoke this time, she again stated that she could guarantee my car would be sold for my asking price in 3 weeks. And of course, it now was, "Well, AMS can't guarantee but I just looked up your car type and I have 200 interested buyers right now for your type of car within your area." She referred to area as within 100 miles. Based on that, I called a few days later and signed up for the service.
Well, it has been 4 weeks now and I have received not one email or call. I called AMS after 2 weeks and was told that it takes time for them to sift through all the emails of interested parties and screen them to find real buyers. I am just wondering what happened to the 200 interested buyers in 4 weeks. All I know is that I priced my car at 21, 900 and it undercuts everyone in my area and dealers nationwide for my model, year, miles and options. I do not even think there are 200 Mini's for sale in my area based upon my searches and the fact that there is only one dealership in Colorado.
I have been called by numerous auto marketing companies and decided to go with AMS but now, all of them sound like broken records and they are all shams.
So be happy with the $149.00 you got out of me but this is definitely going to AMS' State District Attorney for possible fraud charges.

zero leads NO refund after 90 days
I received not a single lead for my appropriately priced car. I had weekly calls as a result of ads in auto trader and craigslist and sold, at my price as a result. This is a tough economy to sell a car in. HOWEVER I read my fine print and mailed the notarized petition to have my money refunded after 90 days (you have a two week period in which to do this) and have yet to receive a call back or a refund of any amount. I call almost weekly. It has been 9 weeks bugging them. They have acknowledged that the petition for refund has satisfied their requirements - yet no refund.

Scam
This company is really something. They promise you existing customers who interested in your kind of vehicle and then you never hear from them or anybody again. I am in a car business. My van was as clean as it can be with low mileage to the year and asking price was $1800 lower then Kelly Blue Book. First customer who looked my van - bought it. So don’t tell me 402 customers checked my van and I had no phone calls at all. You have no control of anything as soon as you pay the money and this company can tell you anything they want. In reality – you lost your money in cold blood.
How this people can sleep at night?!? I hope you got the picture.
Sincerely George N.

Purposely Confusing to Get Sale
I placed my car on Craigslist and a sales rep called from Auto Marketing Systems. He offered on my vmail that "for my car they would guarantee that it sold or I could get a FULL REFUND." I listened to the vmail and called back. I spoke to a Sales Rep there and she promised me about Four Times that I could "Cancel" with a "Full Money Back Guarantee" and all I would have to do is call her to do so, and it would cost $249.00. I proceeded w/ the Sale and 2 days later I was sent a statement that said A) I was charged an additional $29.00 Processing Fee (this was never ever disclosed by the sales rep or the disclaimer they read and B) the letter said that I would have to give them 90 Days before I could request a Refund. When I called Customer Service, they said A) the $29 Processing Fee was disclosed (WHICH IT WAS NOT) and B) I can't help what the Sales Rep said - you have to wait 90 Days to get a Refund etc. I told her that the Sales Rep promised me things that completely contradicted the letter they sent 2 days later (Processing Fee, 90 Days vs. Just Call Me and I'll Cancel). The Customer Service Rep said "Cancel" is different than "Refund" so by design, the Sales Reps are trained to say "Cancel" so they get away with it when you call back to get a "Refund". I asked them to replay the conversation between the Sales Rep and I and they said that it would be next to impossible to review the Phone Conversation. I have never gotten 1 call or 1 Lead for my car and now I'm out ~$280. I would strongly suggest not using this service given the design "Cancel vs Refund" and given that they don't care what their Sales Reps are telling People during the sales process and made no effort to alleviate the issue. I will be very surprised if I get the $250 back after the 90 days even if I follow their 6 steps required to get a Refund (which takes a lot of effort to do so in the time allotted).

Did not perform and then no refund
I paid this Company to sell my car, they gave me a refund guarantee after 90 days if my car did not sell. After the 90 days I fullfilled what they wanted and sent it to them, that was October 27, 2009, I call and am told that it will be two weeks then two weeks, it has been nothing but a stall. This last time I called, December 21, 2009, I was told that the refund department is far behind, when I asked if the Company was going out of business, I was hung up on. They have had my money for about seven, (7) months. I never got any calls from any person about buying my car from them. They seem to be nothing but a scam, they take your money and get the interest then do not give a refund. I have contacted the Attorney for the City Of Roanoke, I will see what that does. Just be aware of this Company, do not give them any money, They do not honer the word they give.

False Promises
My complaint is like the dozens of others listed. I placed my vehicle on Cars.com and didn't get any action for the first few weeks and then came a call from AMS.
The pitch was that we have lots of demand for your vehicle, it should sell right away, we'll have lots of interested people for your vehicle etc. So that with the money back guarantee hooked me. I did look them up on the BBB site and saw lots of complaints, so I went in somewhat aprehensive.
Well it's been 45 days now without one phone call regarding my vehicle that the salesperson said was priced extremely competitively... So my recommendation is to keep your expectations extremely low, and read the money back guarantee to the letter because you, like me will likely be counting the days until you can attempt to get your money back...
