refund not honored
After numerous calls from Auto Seller Network promising to sell my vehicle for me within 90-days with a guaranteed refund should my vehicle not sell I fell for this soar excuse of a company's scam. Immediately afterward I started looking into my guaranteed refund. I found that the steps necessary to qualify for a refund were a complete hassle - surely their attempt to have customers simply not bother or not inqure and therefore not qualify. I took all steps necessary for a refund - all which cost ME extra money. Low and behold when my 90-day period was up and my vehicle was not sold I applied for my promised refund. I contacted the company after my refund request had been received and was told it would take up to 60 days to receive my refund. I continued to call and email Auto Seller Network to be told that someone would be getting back to me within 5 business days. This NEVER happened. At one point the customer service representative on the other end of the line advised me that he receives numerous similar calls for Auto Seller Network. After months of unanswered phone calls and emails and an inquiry with my lawyer it became apparent that I was not going to receive my $495.oo refund. I have no choice but to accept this loss and hope that by posting this complaint I can save others a similar experience. It was a lesson well learned but extremely disappointing!!! This company is a scam and I hope that one day what goes around comes around and they get theirs.

Car sales scam
After I placed an ad to sell my truck on Craigslist I was contacted by Grant Parker who claimed to be from 2nd Chance Auto Financing. He told me he had two buyers for my truck if I was willing to pay $399.99 to secure a spot with autosellernetwork. I had already fallen prey to paying Ebay sales $399.00 the day before and I told him that I really didn't want to jump into a similar deal and that I didn't really have the money to be paying out for these so called deals. I also told him of my military situation and that I was really struggling with a husband deployed and two special needs kids, not to mention the kids and I were losing the current roof we had over our heads. He assured me he was not scamming me and that he would have my truck sold before Christmas. This was on or about Dec. 2, 2009. He indicated someone would be calling me to line up viewing the truck and would give me the money. He also told me I could opt to buy into their 90-day program for about $99 but that he had me buyers so this would not be necessary. I am an intelligent person with much education; however, it is clear that in desperate times we really believe in others. I thought this was one of those moments when there really is things out there to help. I was scammed. I made several calls back and never got any straight answers. Specifically, I called on Dec. 7th and let Mr. Parker know I wanted the names of these definite customers. He told me he couldn't give me those names. I asked him then how would I know if I am talking to his customers as I had already told him I was also part of the Ebay program. He then provided me with two first names as he said that was all he could give me: Jason or Patrick. One other thing when he originally called me he told me once the truck was sold his company would pay half of the other (Ebay Sales) cost to sell off their program. That same day, Dec. 7th, I called autosellernetwork's third party call center and was told after 90 days I will get a refund. I told that representative, Rob #829, that I didn't pay the $99 but he still indicated I would get my refund. After that point I never got any calls from anyone concerning my truck relative to autosellernetwork nor have I been contacted by Grant Parker. However, one day about February-March timeframe someone called me trying to give me the same line to sell my truck--that he has buyers for me and so on. I was very busy calming down a situation with my autistic child that I was unable to write down the information. In fact, I told this person that I was already scammed into his program and that I hadn't received any calls like told and so on. He said he'd look into it and have my representative contact me. I never heard anything else after that either. So here I am finally in June lodging my complaints and working to get at the least my $399.99 back. So far the calls that I have made remains not returned and I keep reaching a machine. I have not emailed yet but I have left voice messages. I contacted the third party line that use to be autosellernetoworks customer service help and I get the message that they no longer service autosellernetwork's customers. Auto Seller Network definitely, in my book, is scamming or was scamming people and be advised if you receive these types of calls please consider what you could do yourself online for advertising without paying these scam artists this type of money.

No Refund as promised
I lost my job in September of 2009 and needed desparately to sell my 2008 Mini Cooper. This group from Auto Sellers Network made it sound as if they already had at least 4 buyers approved for loans to buy my car, all I had to do was pay them 499.99. If the car did not sell in 90 days I was to get a refund of $399.99. The 90 days was up on Dec. 9, 2009 and I called to make sure that I followed all of their "rules" to get the refund. They said all I had to do was fill out the Refund Request Form on their website and send it Certified Mail - which I did and I should get my refund in 6-8 weeks. Well, it has now been 3 months and - you guessed it - no refund!! I have called several times, I have sent emails to the customer service group and I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. The BBB gives them 30 days to respond and then they just write it off. So now it seems I will never see my money again! And - to add insult to injury my car was reposessed!! So, I have no car (which I still owe mone on) and I don't have $400 which I could really use for groceries!!! Someone needs to stop this group from taking advantage of us. This week is my 63rd birthday - all I want for my birthday is my $399.99 from these scammers!!!

scam
The above complaints are the same as mine, I just wanted to be heard also. High pressure techniques, lowering the fee so you feel like you don't want to miss the good deal, etc. Grant said he had three customers interested in my car, I never heard a word and he never returned my calls. He was always out sick or on a family emergency. I'm very angry at the way they handled this. Please don't use them, waste of money. You have to go through hoops on their guaranteed refund policy. Still waiting to hear from them on that...

advertising scam
I got an unsolicited phone call from Dean Kumar at autosellernetwork.com. They got my information from one of my online ads because they had all the details about my car. Assured me that they had interested buyers lined up in my area who had financing. Assured me that 85-90% of vehicles sold in first week, and that he was confident that my vehicle would sell for $12500 (I had it listed for $11, 500). He said they would advertise it on 40 different websites including Walmart.com. Had me go to their online Better Business Bureau website to see their AAA rating. Told him a number of times I wasn’t interested. Called me back several times. Finally on the last call, he told me he had someone lined up who wanted to come see my car the next day. I thought what the hell? If they are a scammer, I can always get my money back from MasterCard. He assured me that they would list the car on Driving.ca and also in the local paper in the classifieds until it sold or up to 90 days. He reduced price of their listing by half and also the guarantee fee by half.
I was to receive an email immediately, I think so that I could manage the advertisement and upload pictures. The email was also going to provide the list of all of the different places the car was being advertised. I was also assured that they had a client lined up who wanted to look at my vehicle and who would be giving me a call. I never received any of the above. I checked the local classifieds and driving.ca to see if they had listed my car several times, but nothing. Called MasterCard – they said I had to call autosellernetwork.com first. I called autosellernetwork.com. The customer service rep said it must be an IT issue that my car was not on driving.ca and that their IT department would call me within 48 hours. She also mentioned that their success rate selling vehicles is 50% (a far cry from what the first agent said). No one from IT calls me.
A few weeks later, I get a call from Autosellernetwork in response to my BBB complaint. I was in a meeting so I asked her to call back in 30 minutes. She assured me she would. Never got a call, but their response to BBB claimed that she spoke with me, apologized, offered me a 100% money back guarantee and that I was very satisfied, which was a complete lie. Called MasterCard again, they conferenced in Autosellernetwork. She said I would have to download refund form off website. She would not address the fact that the ad was not where they said it would be and that she would check with the 1st agent. Never heard back. Went to download refund form today as it is 90 days. Get a server error when I try to access link.

Carries "F" Grade with BBB
Be wary of this company - they use high-pressure sales tactics to scam you out of several hundred dollars. I think the other complaints say it all already. They list themselves as a Better Business Bureau accredited firm on their website, which is true for their Phoenix, AZ location. Their Candian location carries no such designation. Search for "Auto Seller Network" here: http://www.bbb.org/us.
Also, while the Phoenix location may be accredited by the BBB, it currently carries a rating of "F" - there is no lower rating for BBB busineses. I imagine it won't be BBB-accredited for much longer.

Took Months to Receive Refund
Auto Seller Network contacted me after seeing my car listed in Auto Trader. I paid a non refundable listing fee of $75 and a fee of $299 which was refundable after 90 days if the car didn't sell. I did not receive a single call or email during the 90 days. I sent by certified mail all of their required information. After 6 weeks I called the company and was told it takes 4-6 weeks to process the refund checks and if I didn't get it within the next week to call back. Instead of a check, I received a letter stating I was ineligible for the refund because I didn't provide a copy of the car title. ASN's online refund policy states if the car is financed then a letter from the bank is sufficient to prove ownership. A representative from the company assured me if I faxed the letter I would be eligible for the refund. On the fax, I asked for them to email me or call me and let me know when the refund would be processed. I never heard back from them. I followed up the fax with several emails and phone calls and told them if they would not respond then I would be forced to file a complaint with the BBB and the Arizona State Attorney General's office and also dispute the charge with my credit card company. A week after filing the complaints, a rep from the company called. She also told me I didn't provide the car title. I read to her their exact refund policy and she acted like she had never heard it before. She then told me she would refund the entire amount of $374 back to my card. I never got the refund. Five days later, she calls again and offers a partial credit because I 'wasn't willing to meet her halfway and provide all the necessary documents'. I told her I had provided all the information on two occasions and I would be happy to fax it to her again right now. She said I didn't need to do that and she would process the entire credit within 24-48 hours. It took another 4 days for the amount to be refunded to my credit card.
I made sure I kept a copy of their refund policy from when I signed up with them in case the policy was changed. Someone else also commented that they were denied for a refund because they didn't drop the price of their vehicle. ASN also tried that with me but I had decreased the asking price by $2250. Nowhere in their refund policy does it state anything about dropping the price.
It took ten weeks to receive a full refund but only because I was persistent. It also helped that I filed a complaint with the BBB. I encourage everyone to also write to the Arizona Attorney General. If they get enough complaints, they will investigate the company. You can do a complaint online at http://www.azag.gov/consumer/complaintform.html

Fraudulent company
On Thursday Feb. 12, 2009, I received a call regarding the 2007 Ford Mustang Convertible I had advertised on Craigslist and Auto Trader. Asked if I had sold the car yet? I answered NO and he introduced himself as Kevin Dodge a Representative of Autosellernewwork an affiliate of Walmart. Asked me to describe the car and condition, mileage, asking price. I did and he told me it sounded like an excellent car and they would love to sell it for me and it should only take about 2 weeks! They make their money, he said, by re-financing the car and that I would not have to do a thing. It would require a deposit of $499.99 that I could put on my credit card. If it didn't sell, I would be refunded the $400 and they would keep, as insurance, the $99.99. They would pay for the advertising and initial screening of the applicants. I won't go into all the details but I mentioned that I was wary of this being a scam and he said we are a reputable company affiliated with Walmart and recommended by the BBB. They car would stay with me until the buyer gave me a check that cleared my bank and then I could release the car. He said let me give you over to our Confirmation Mgr., Steve, and Steve went over the cost I would only have to pay $99.99 for their service. I gave them my Master Card number and they said they would email me immediately with all the information about them, that they were located on Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale.
Well, I never received the email with my confirmation number! When I called the Card Company, the charge for the 99.99 and the 400 dollars had been received and approved but not actually put on my account. I asked that they stop the charge and they said they could not until it was actually put onto my account. So, here I am, I will Dispute the charge and hope that it will be taken off my account. I just want other people to know of this scam. I am retired living on Social Security and a small pension and cannot afford to take a loss of this magnitude. My husband is retired also and we are very upset about this hoax!
