If you make an online subscription by credit card and forgot to note down all the details and particularly the procedure for unsubscribing, you might end up in trouble. I do not understand why these companies automatically renew subscriptions without obtaining the concurrence of the subscribers or intimating them. In fact, the trap comes in the form of a free initial subscription. If you opt for it for fun and provided the credit card details, you could be burdened with monthly bills. The bigger the company, worse is the problem. Your credit card company will not agree to stop payment, even though you are not making use of the services. It happened to me with Microsoft's Internet Service, a few years back in the US, where I had gone on a business trip and was allured by the offer to try out their Internet service free for one month . I had to ultimately terminate the card, to avoid being charged 20 $ by MIcrosoft every month.
