Upgrading
Their customer service is disgusting. When you call them on their care line, you have to wait for extended periods of time. They do not get back to you. They do not value their customers at all. A person with an active business life does not have time to run after their cellular service provider. Don't ever do business with them.

Worst Ever (lack of) Service Provider
I can quite honestly say that moving over to Autopage to get a small benefit attached to my medical aid, was the worst mistake of my life. I have had nothing but bad experiences with their service, customer service, efficiency and and and!!!
Form the very first week of moving from Vodacom, it began and just today, months later after several unanswered complaints, when I thought it was finally over, it began again.
They cut my lines, didnt open my account correctly, soft barred me, cut me off when trying to sort things out over the phone, passed me onto umteen departments...
If I could move away from then today, without losing thousands of Rands, I would.
I welcome any Autopage manager to reply and possibly find another excuse...

Unwilling to respond to my requests to stop unlawfully debitting my account
My name is Hamish Oakes, ID: 8003055046086
My cell number (Autopage) was 0828778384
The number that appears on my bank statement next the the Autopage debit is 100129 00766533 .
I left South Africa to do some work overseas in January 2010.
Knowing this, I did not renew my mobile contract with Vodacom/Autopage in August 2009, instead, I converted my account from contract to prepaid in December.
Still, Autopage debit my account R519.00 every month.
Efforts to contact them are impossible due to the time difference, submitting email from/to their webpage is fruitless.
Continuing to debit my account for the contract amount after I closed it is theft. How do I get assistance in this matter to resolve the issue and get refunded by Autopage?
Any help is much appreciated.

Worst Sevice bordering on harrasment
After paying the extortionate amount of money for a cellphone contract that I honored for the full 2 year term but kept going month for month without my knowledge as I had immigrated, I started receiving threatening emails (IN ALL CAPS) stating that they are handing me over to authorities and that the next correspondence that I should expect would be a summons and a bailiff at my door. (well I hope he's flying Business Class).
After phoning to South Africa about 90 times (the Autopage receptionist picked up the phone on the 89th try). I get to speak to the guy and he says I must have spoken to his supervisor. I ask to speak to the supervisor and he tells me that they are all on leave until the 18th January (nearly a month and 10 days of leave!) and there is NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN CHARGE?! After promising me that he will personally sort this out the moment they step into the office, the 18th comes and goes...
Today, 26 Jan I receive an email and: It's just exactly that first generic threatening message! And today they are not picking up the phone at all...
Please people, STAY AWAY from Autopage!!!
There is a special circle in hell reserved for South African cellular company employees.
And if you deal with them, you'll be sucked right in there with them!

Poor service customer care
My bank account gets incorrectly debited by Auto page Cellular for an account I don't even have with them. Trying to solve the problem is like finding a needle in a hay stack! One guy working with credit control SIPHO did not even try to solve the problem. Simply says there's no fault on their system. Another guy tried to help, giving me the number of another person who will be able to assist me. She was as impolite as a don't know what! I have faxed them my bank statement. Marking the reference they put on the payment. Don't know why they put a reference in the first place, as that does not mean anything to them. In the mean time I just pay someone else's cell phone account and Auto page is smiling all the way to the bank... Is this acceptable? Are they committing fraud? Please appoint people who have knowledge in attending to customer complaints. If they don't want to do their work, fire them!
