I took my wife's car to Auto Tire to get a new transmission. They had the car for 3 weeks. Towards the end of the three weeks my wife and I found her car in a parking lot in Franklin, IN. I called Auto Tire to find out the status of the vehicle, and was told that they had it and it was still being worked on. We waited for someone too come to the car. Without my knowledge or approval, they subbed the work out to an unacceptable business in downtown Indianapolis. This business has numerous complaints with the BBB. The man was driving our car and using it personally, and was 30 miles away from the place that he worked. Autotire said they would give me discount to keep me happy, but later recanted and demanded full payment or they would take me to court. I paid the $5, 700.oo bill. Now the transmission is out again, and I am stuck having to take it back to them since it is under warranty. I asked for rental car for this period for the inconvenience, but they refused.
