A year ago I ordered an inexpensive financial software program, but when I got it, it was not what I was looking for. A year later I am charged with some type of continuing service fee, something I would never have agreed to. But when I try to have this charge refunded and cancel any ongoing service, I am trapped in a maze of inefficiency, where I can't stop the payment unless I submit more information, allowing the company more access to my records.
I got one email from one company asking Avangate to refund the money, then an email from Avangate thanking me for my order.
I should have know better than to deal with an unknown. It should always be a clue that you are involved in a scam if there is no "contact us" button and no customer service phone number. I will be reporting this to the BBB and I'm going to have to change my bank card number, something that will cost me time and money, just to keep these thieves out of my account.
Bottom line: DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH AVANGATE!!!
